That's all from us at Tribe. Thanks for joining in. Until next time, this is Sanil Karan signing off.
Already qualified for the upcoming UEFA Euro in a convincing manner, Portugal's impressive display against FIFA's 26th-ranked team marks a promising beginning to their preparations. Conversely, Sweden's encounter with Portugal, their first head-to-head meeting since October 2020, proved challenging as their quest for a first victory against a top-10 nation since September 2021 remains unfulfilled.
Undeterred, Portugal swiftly retaliated just three minutes later, with Semedo finding ample space once more to deliver a pinpoint pass to Gonçalo Ramos, who notched his eighth international goal in just 11 appearances. Meanwhile, Jota Silva, making his debut appearance for the national team, immediately tested Olsen with his first touch, while on the other end, Sweden's substitute Gustaf Nilsson missed the target with his attempt. As the match progressed, both sides continued to create scoring opportunities, with Jota denied a debut goal at his club's home ground moments before Nilsson secured a late consolation goal for the visitors with a header.
Leading at halftime for the seventh consecutive time on home turf, Portugal appeared to slightly diminish their intensity at the onset of the second half. However, they quickly regained their stride as substitute Bruma capitalized on their first attack, neatly slotting Ferandes' pass into an unguarded net. Sweden swiftly countered, with Kulusevski's dummy creating space for Emil Holm to find Viktor Gyokeres at the back post, resulting in an immediate response from the visitors.
Portugal quickly asserted control of the game, with Rafael Leao proving to be a significant threat. Portugal broke the deadlock as Bernardo Silva's shot rebounded off the post to Leao, who scored his fourth international goal with a powerful finish. The hosts continued their dominance, with Matheus Nunes adding a second goal shortly after, and NĂ©lson Semedo providing an assist for Bruno Fernandes to tap in, concluding an impressive first half for Portugal.

ANOTHER CONSOLATION GOAL FOR SWEDEN! Forsberg finds Kulusevski inside the right side of the box. He beats Ruben Dias and lifts a great ball towards the middle of the six-yard box for Nilsson. He gets to it and glances a header into the top right corner. The keeper didn't move.

SAVE! Now Sweden lose it high up the pitch and Portugal counters with Mario on the right. He whips in a brilliant low cross for Jota inside the box who should score but the keeper rushes out and makes a brilliant save.
