So these sides will next be in action in the last 16 as the tournament moves onto the knockout stages. Just a note that in the other match Hungary have won 1-0 with a last minute winner so there may very well be three teams that advance from Group A. Only time will tell. Germany were not at their best today but they've managed to find a way to top the group. They were a bit slow on the ball and resorted to lumping crosses into the box. They continued to win headers in the middle and eventually Fullkrug was able to direct a bit of quality on target. Nagelsmann will know that his side will need to be better than that when they take on some of their other fellow contenders in knockout football. It's not quite perfect, but an unbeaten group stage, topping the group has started their home tournament excellently. They'll play the runner-up of Group C in the next round.
Switzerland largely sat back and absorbed pressure after taking the lead against the hosts. But, they did remain a threat on the counter attack. This will be a performance that Murat Yakin will take a lot of heart from though. Particularly as they move through to the knockout stages and will play top opposition. This could be a prominent game plan going forward for the Swiss. They'll be gutted not to have secured a famous win and first place, but ultimately it's been a successful group stage for Switzerland. They'll take on the runner-up of Group B in the final 16.
GERMANY TOP GROUP A! After leading for so long, Switzerland are eventually pulled back by a late German goal. So the hosts earn the draw that is enough to see them top the group. Switzerland will finish second and so both teams are assured of progression through to the next round.

The ball in from Vargas is a poor one. But, Havertz's clearance is also left a bit short. But, Switzerland can't capitalise as they give it away back to Germany.

And now it is the German fans who can be heard in Frankfurt. Widmer plays the ball forward and it hits a German hand. This will be a free kick inside Germany's half wide on the Swiss right.

FULLKRUG AT THE DEATH! He sends Germany back to the top of the group with just minutes to spare! The hosts were running out of time but their substitutes have stepped up. Gundogan rolls the ball out wide to Raum on the left. He takes a couple of touches before whipping a cross int the middle. From the edge of the six yard box, Fullkrug gets a couple of steps away from his man before heading it back across Sommer's goal. It's a brilliant header that nestles into the left side of the goal giving the goalkeeper no chance.
