Ukraine have Slovakia next up in Dusseldorf so they will need to shake this result off their mind to get back to it if they want to have a chance. Romania have a massive challenge facing Belgium in Cologne but they will now have such a big belief that they can go and provide one of the biggest shocks in European Championship history. After today why not?
Ukraine will be questioning how it all went so wrong. They seemed to be in control of the game in the opening stages as they dominated the ball and made some half-chances with Mudryk at the heart of every attack. However after that Lunin error and Stanciu strike all of their confidence disappeared so quickly. They needed half-time but they came out after the break even flatter which Romania took advantage of. Lunin had some question marks over him for the second goal also as he seemed to dive in time but the ball went under him. Luckily for Ukraine, they still have two games to go to try and get through. The likes of Mudryk, Sudakov and Dovbyk in attack need to do a lot more if they are going to reach the knockout stages.
ROMANIA HAVE THEIR BIGGEST EVER WIN IN EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY! What about that, what a performance from Romania who pre-match were viewed as underdogs who may have a problem scoring. They proved that wrong and then some! Stanciu opened the scoring with a ludicrously good strike into the top left corner after Lunin had made an error in possession. In the second half, they scored another great goal as Razvan Marin struck on the edge of the box arrowing the ball into the bottom left corner. Then just four minutes after that they had a third as Dragus from close ranger tapped home after some great work from a short corner by Man. The perfect performance!

SAVE! Mudryk drives inside from the left flank. He is around 30 yards out but it opens up for him. Mudryk decides to have a pop at goal. Nita misjudged the flight of the shot whilst slipping but he manages to parry it away with his chest.

OFF THE BAR! Zabarnyi steps forward from the back into Romania's half. He finds Yaremchuk with a nice pass into the right side of the box. Yaremchuk goes for an audacious lob on his right foot. The ball loops over Nita but only lands on the top of the crossbar.

Bancu goes in for a tackle with Yaremchuk and he is caught on his ankle. He goes down so the referee stops play. However he does seem to be ok.
