That wraps up our coverage of this Euro 2024 clash between Portugal and Czechia. Tomorrow we will have live coverage of Croatia vs Albania in Group B, as well as Germany vs Hungary and Scotland vs Switzerland in Group A. For now, thank you for joining me, Zak Brown on Tribe!
Czechia will be gutted to lose the game in such circumstances, especially after defending so well for the majority of the game and keeping the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Rafael Leao and Bernardo Silva relatively quiet. They will need to bounce back quickly, with their second group game against Georgia coming up in just four days. Meanwhile, Portugal will face Turkey in a top of the table clash next up.
Another enthralling Euro 2024 opening clash is wrapped up, with Portugal claiming a late win in dramatic circumstances! For much of the game, Portugal struggled to break down the stubborn Czechia defence. Lukáš Provod then provided a magical moment for the Czech faithful, to sweep home a first-time shot from the edge of the penalty area past Diogo Costa to give Czechia a shock lead. The lead did not last long, as a mistake by Czech goalkeeper Jindřich Staněk meant that the ball bounced off central defender Robin Hranáč and into his own goal. Despite several changes by both teams, the game remained locked level until second half stoppage time, but Portugal were able to find a winner in the 92nd minute. After being on the pitch for a matter of minutes, Francisco Conceição was in the right place at the right time to convert his shot from close distance, after Robin Hranáč was unable to clear the ball at his near post. Portugal saw out the remaining few minutes of the game and their Euro 2024 campaign is off to a positive start!

Czechia have a great opportunity to claim a late equaliser, but Ondrej Lingr is caught offside after receiving Antonin Barak's clever chipped through ball, so Portugal will have a much needed free kick inside their own penalty area.

Czechia make a desperate late change, with time quickly running out. Tomas Chory is thrown on for his namesake Tomas Holes.
