The Netherlands kick us off here as Depay goes backwards to De Vrij. He hits a long pass up to the left wing looking for Gakpo but he cannot win the header. Muldur wins the header but concedes a throw which the Dutch get on with quickly.

NETHERLANDS TEAM NEWS: Unsurprisingly Ronald Koeman has not made any changes from the side that defeated Romania. Steven Bergwijn therefore starts in back-to-back games.

CHANCE! From deep Calhanoglu puts in a fine cross on his right foot. Ayhan makes the move to the back post. He sticks a foot out but cannot keep the ball down as it goes over the bar. Van Dijk did just about enough.

Turkey get us back underway for the second half as Yildiz loses possession on the left flank. The Netherlands have a throw and they also have a different player up top. Bergwijn has been taken off at the break for Wout Weghorst so Koeman is going for this one in the second half.

Guler cuts inside as he shapes to shoot but passes the ball into the feet of Yilmaz. With his back to goal, De Vrij robs it off his toes with a good tackle. He tries to drive forward with it but ends up bundling Calhanoglu over giving away a foul.

Simons loses control of the ball and ends up stretching for it. He catches Muldur with his studs so the referee brandishes him the first yellow card of the game.

Yilmaz shows fantastic pace to take on Van Dijk on the right wing. He pushes the ball past him so Van Dijk bundles him over. Therefore he is shown a yellow card.

Vincenzo Montella has responded to that goal straight away. Ozcan and Yildiz have gone off. Okay Yokuslu is on in midifled. On the left side Kerem Aktürkoglu is now also on.

Depay whips in a corner to the back post from the left side. Ake is in acres of space but gets his header all wrong as he inadvertently clears for Turkey. Kadiogl picks it up and drives forward evading the challenges of Van Dijk. His pass into Guler on the left is overhit though as the ball rolls out for a goal kick.

THE DUTCH HAVE TURNED THIS ONE AROUND! Simons plays a clever pass out wide to Dumfries on the right wing. He sends in a low cross towards the back post. Gakpo creeps up on Muldur to bundle the ball over the line. Poor defending from Muldur as the last touch appears to come off him.

Gakpo on the left wing cuts inside as he moves into the box. Instead of shooting he tries to find Simons but Ayhan gets there first. His clearance is up to Yilmaz but Van Dijk wins it back for The Netherlands. They start an attack down the right side now.

CHANCE! Bergwijn wins the ball high up the pitch on the right flank. He finds Depay in the box with his back to goal. Depay tries to prod it through to Gakpo but the pass is behind him. When Turkey clear the linesman puts his flag up for offside.

Ronald Koeman has made another double change in attack. Depay and Simons have been withdrawn. Jeremie Frimpong is on to go to the right wing. Joshua Zirkzee is also on for his first minutes of the tournament.

The last throw of the dice from Turkey means that Ayhan has gone off. Semih Kilicsoy is on for his first appearance at the tournament.

CHANCE! Gakpo on the left flank cuts inside on his right foot. He sends in a wonderful cross looking for Weghorst. Akaydin jumps up to get a vital touch with his head. The ball flies just wide of the right post. 

Yilmaz wins a flick on looking for Guler to go through on goal. Ake dives in and takes him out but only gets a yellow card. De Vrij was there as cover so it wasn't a clear goalscoring opportunity. 

SHOT! Simons carries the ball forward from a deep position. He passes it off to his right as he moves towards the edge of the area. Bergwijn is the recipient as he does a step-over and shoots. The attempt is a wild one which goes well over the bar.

Gunok hits a long pass straight looking for Yilmaz but the ball flies through to Verbruggen. Van Dijk gets on the ball as they work it out to Bergwijn on the right flank. He does the give-and-go with Scouten but Kadioglu defends well to win a goal-kick.

Turkey can be so proud of their efforts as they looked like the dominant team in the first half especially after Akaydin scored the opener. That came from a Guler cross and he looked like he was running the show but that was his last moment at this tournament. Tosun had a couple of half chances from the bench and Kilicosy had the big moment in injury time but he couldn't divert the ball past Verbruggen. Vincenzo Montella can be happy with how his side performed throughout even though they are now going home.

Reijnders moves into the box on the right side but is stopped in his tracks. Yildiz runs from the edge of his own area all the way to the left wing. The Turkey break slows down with Kadioglu though as his cross is cleared away.

SHOT! Celik has his first venture forward on the right flank. He crosses into the near post looking for Tosun. He makes his move away from De Vrij but his header is well off target.

CHANCE! Dumfries makes some space on the right flank to squeeze in a low cross. He finds Depay who holds off Akaydin well but misses the ball with his left foot. It comes out to Ake who finds Gakpo who is free. The winger drags his shot well wide of the right post before the flag goes up.

THE NETHERLANDS WILL FACE ENGLAND IN THE SEMI-FINAL! After going a goal down in the first half Ronald Koeman's men had to dig deep and they did exactly that. De Vrij scored an emphatic header from a Depay cross to level things up for the Dutch. Then soon after Muldur but the ball into his own net after some pressure from Gakpo who tried to get on the end of a Dumfries cross. After that moment they defended well but Verbruggen bailed them out with a fantastic save to send them through to the semi-finals! What a 90 minutes that was!

SHOT! Turkey lose the ball in a dangerous position to Schouten. He fires it into the feet of Depay who lays it off to Simons to the left of him. Simons opens his body up to curl one but puts the shot well wide of the right post.

THE NETHERLANDS ARE LEVEL WITH A HEADER OF THEIR OWN! Weghorst has a great chance at the back post but his volley is saved by Gunok. Depay comes over to take the corner on the right side. He goes short with it but ends up putting the cross into the six-yard box. De Vrij charges in heading downwards and past Gunok.

Ronald Koeman makes a double change which he was readying before the goal. It was originally a triple but now it is only two. Reijnders and Ake leave the action. Micky Van De Ven and Joey Veerman are on.

Weghorst has also quickly been shown a yellow card by the referee for something he has said. The tension is so high here in the closing stages.

SHOT! On the right flank Calhanoglu whips in a free-kick which Weghorst gets to first. He inadvertently flicks it onto Akturoglu at the back post. The winger throws his head at the ball but can only put it wide.

SHOT! Ake passes to Gakpo high and wide on the left. His first-time pass into Depay sets him free down the left. Depay holds off his man to find Gakpo who returns it back to him. On his right foot, he shoots with power but it is blocked.

The Netherlands started well with Simons and Depay looking very threatening. However, that seemed to stop after around 25 minutes as Turkey grew in confidence. Their best chances have come from Gakpo who had a big opening but the flag did go up for offside so that may not have even counted. They have looked open at the back but Van Dijk has done well to stop that being the case throughout. Ronald Koeman needs to change something otherwise they will be going home here. More attacking impetus is needed and a different plan to get the best out of Gakpo who has arguably been the player of the tournament so far.

Akaydin cannot carry on so he has gone off for Cenk Tosun who will go up top now. Muldur has also made way for Zeki Celik who will go to right back. It will be a four-at-the-back system now.

Simons is caught on his heels on the edge of the box. De Vrij wins it back quickly though as he passes it to Depay. He moves it out wide finding Gakpo. On his right foot, he sends in a cross but it is a poor one. It loops over Weghorst and out for a goal kick.

Calhanoglu whips in a dangerous corner right into the six-yard box from the right wing. Van Dijk heads it away as Simons looks to break but he has no options ahead of him. He turns back passing it to Reijnders who keeps hold of the ball.

Before we get started we shall hear two ferociously loud national anthems from one sea of orange as well as one from a wall of white and red. The last time these two faced each other was in 2021 when the Netherlands won by a mammoth six goals to one. Surely we won’t have the same this time around? SHOT! Ake on the left side delivers a deep cross. He finds Weghorst who escapes his marker at the back post. His header back across goal just misses Depay who would have had a tap-in. When the ball dribbles just wide the flag goes up for offside. 

TURKEY TAKE THE LEAD WITH ANOTHER HEADER! On the left side, Calhanoglu has a corner which is headed out. It only comes out to Guler though on the right side. He manages to squeeze a cross into the back post on his right foot. Akaydin charges in unmarked to head the ball into the back of the net. His first goal for Turkey!

SHOT! Guler whips in a dangerous cross from a corner which is headed away again. On the left side, it comes through to Yildiz. He works the ball onto his right foot to shoot. His shot doesn't have enough bend on it though as it flies wide of the post.

Gakpo picks the ball up in a deep area on the left side. He gets through the gears as he charges past several players. As he gets towards the edge of the Turkey box Ayhan slides in on him. Ayhan just about gets the ball even though Gakpo wants a free-kick.

When Ozcan threw his head towards the ball he fell into Schouten's leg and he has gone down in pain. The medical team have come on so hopefully he should be ok to carry on.

SAVE! Ozcan throws his head at the ball but the referee waves play on. It breaks to Depay who runs towards the edge of the box. On his right foot, he goes alone but his shot is straight at Gunok who holds with ease.

Gakpo cuts inside but opts against crossing it. He finds Reijnders on the edge of the area. The midfielder clips a pass towards the right side of the box looking for Dumfries. He looks offside but he gets the ball in the corner. His pass backwards is terrible as he finds Yilmaz.

SHOT! Guler on the right wing shows some great quick feet to get past Van De Ven. His cross to the back post finds Tosun who is wrestling with Dumfries. He wins the header but it only finds the side netting.

SHOT! Gakpo flicks the ball around the corner on the left side finding Depay. He runs into the box with it at his feet. It bounces off him allowing him to move into space. On his right foot, he shoots but fires over the bar as he is leaning back.

OFF THE POST! From around 25 yards out on the right Guler puts the ball down to take the free-kick. He fires low on his left foot as he bends the shot towards the left corner. Verbruggen dives down but doesn't get a touch as the ball clips off the post before going out.

Bardakci fires a long pass up the pitch looking for Yilmaz. He battles well with De Vrij before the pair go down on the edge of the box. The referee waves play on as Simons comes forward down the left wing. He moves it onto Gakpo but his cross isn't accurate.

CHANCE! Simons on the left flicks a neat pass over the top to Gakpo. He is battling with Muldur as he tries to get a shot off. Eventually, he can only loop it up to Depay to his right. Before he can get his effort on goal the flag goes up for offside.

Van De Ven takes a loose touch on the left side so dives into a duel with Akaydin. He is down in a lot of pain and he might need a stretcher here. Doesn't look like he can carry on.

The Netherlands will be the favourites for this one but they did show big levels of uncertainty in the group stage. They just about managed to scrape a win over Poland in their opening game thanks to Wout Weghorst. Against France, it was a goalless draw which caused some controversy as Xavi Simons did find the back of the net but it was ruled out for offside. Then in their last group game, they were found wanting as Austria won by three goals to two which left Ronald Koeman’s men going through as one of the best third-placed teams. However, it ended up working well for them as they faced Romania in the round of 16 they topped Group E and swept them aside playing the best football they have in this tournament so far. The hope will be that they carry that on and get to the semi-finals. It was 2004 when they last managed that achievement. 

SHOT! Ake loses the ball deep in his own half as they try to get out of the corner. Guler pounces on the loose ball shooting first time on his left foot. He tries to curl one into the top corner but it is off target. A speculative effort to say the least.

TURKEY LEAD AT THE BREAK! The game started in a frantic style with The Netherlands on the front foot but all of a sudden that switch. With big backing from the fans from the crowd Turkey started to dominate. They had a couple of corners which were threatening but they ended up with shots flying over the bar. However one finally paid off as it came out to Guler on the right side of the box. He clipped in a cross to the back post to find Akaydin who simply headed in. Since then the Turkey backline has been stern and not let The Dutch have any big chances. Now we will see if they can do that for another 45 minutes!

Akturoglu sends in a cross towards Tosun but Van Dijk is there to win the header. He goes down trying to waste some valuable seconds. They launch the free-kick long as they want to see this out.

WHAT A SAVE! Bardacki on the left flank whips in a delicious cross for everyone to attack. Tosun is there but he cannot get proper contact on the ball. It comes to Kilicsoy but Verbruggen reacts excellently to parry it away.

OFF THE LINE! On the left flank, Akturkoglu delivers a low cross which Verbruggen cannot get to. It comes to Celik in the box who has an open goal. He shoots with the side of his foot but De Vrij is on the line to clear. Chaos!

Hello and welcome to Tribe’s live coverage of the 2024 European Championship as the Netherlands take on Turkey in the last quarter-final. We are at the Olympiastadion in Berlin for this one. I am Elliot Thompson here with you to provide updates to see who will be the last nation in the final four.

Even though he is not on the field, unused substitute Yildirim has been shown a red card for dissent.

Turkey will be the underdogs just like Romania were which may encourage the Dutch fans especially as it meant they avoided coming up against Austria again. However, the fact Turkey defeated Austria themselves shows just how much of a threat they can be. Led by Real Madrid youngster Arde Guler they’ve been the surprise of the tournament after their terrible exit in the group stage at the previous Euros when they were labelled as everyone’s dark horses. Guler scored arguably the goal of the tournament in their opening game win against Georgia but they suffered an uninspiring defeat to Portugal. When they were potentially in trouble against Czechia Cenk Tosun popped up in injury time with an emphatic strike to make sure they went through in second place. Vincenzo Montella’s men showed that they can certainly do the ugly side of the game against Austria as after scoring under a minute they sat back and handled the pressure before scoring through another corner. So they’ll certainly provide a threat and hope to get to the semi-finals of the Euros for the first time since 2008.

SAVE! Gakpo does so well on the left wing as he makes his way into the box. Weghorst flicks on his pass but it is headed clear to Simons. He

Turkey look like they are in control after that goal as Guler is starting to dictate play. In his own half, he has several players pressing him but calmly passes back to Gunok. The goalkeeper has no option though other than to boot it. His clearance goes out for a throw.

SHOT! Yilmaz does extremely well to keep the ball in on the right wing. His low cross causes panic in the Dutch defence as it comes out to Calhanoglu. On the edge of box, he shoots but Van Dijk stands tall to get the block in.

SAVE! Calhanoglu whips in a free-kick from the right which is cleared out to Yildiz. On the edge of the box, he shoots first-time at Verbruggen. He spills the shot into Ayhan. Weghorst dives in to get a vital touch putting the ball out for a corner. Turkey wants a penalty but the referee isn't interested.

TURKEY TEAM NEWS: Vincenzo Montella has been forced into several changes to his team due to suspensions. Merih Demiral drops out of the side after his brace due to getting a two-match ban for his celebration. Samet Akaydin starts instead. In midfield, Ismail Yuksek and Orkun Kocku miss out due to picking out too many yellow cards. Salih Ozcan comes into the side as does captain Hakan Calhanoglu after he missed the Austria game due to being suspended. 

SHOT! Kadioglu moves forward with possession but passes inside when he gets to the edge of the box. He finds Ozcan who takes a touch out of his feet. On his right, he decides to shoot with power but the effort flies over the bar.

Akaydin is down in some discomfort due to Gakpo landing on his ankle. After some treatment he is able to walk off so hopefully he can carry on.

Tosun is shown a yellow card for something he said to the referee for giving the Dutch a free-kick.
