The defending European champions hang on to kick-start their Euro 2024 campaign with a nervy win against the second-lowest ranked side in the competition. Albania's history-making goal inside 30 seconds left the Azzurri with plenty to do, but a demonstration of their front-foot prowess - especially in the opening quarter - was enough to turn the game on its head. Credit to Albania, who very nearly forced an equaliser late in the day but were denied by a crucial stop from Gianluigi Donnarumma. The European minnows fall just short, but they've by no means disgraced themselves and very nearly produced one of the most remarkable results in European tournament football memory. It's been quite the night in Dortmund - day two of Euro 2024 has certainly delivered!
