That is all from us here at Tribe for coverage of Euro 2024 as Germany beat Hungary to progress to the round of 16. Hungary will need to beat Scotland on Sunday to have any hope of progressing. I'm Andrew Smith and thank you as always for joining me. Until next time!
Hungary now need to pray and hope that Scotland lose against Switzerland and then it will be a straight shootout between the pair on the last matchday of Group A. Third place will not necessarily guarantee either side a spot in the knockout stages, but it will certainly give them a chance. The substitutions made by Marco Rossi towards the end of the game suggests he already had that Scotland game in mind. As for Germany, they are through and will look to secure top spot when they play Switzerland on Sunday. Julian Nagelsmann might look to make a few changes for that game with the knockouts in mind.
GERMANY ARE THROUGH! That secures Germany's place in the Round of 16. Musiala netted the opener in the first half before Gundogan added another in the second period. Hungary caused them problems throughout and are unfortunate not to have anything to show for their efforts. They were a constant threat on the counter and had Varga converted that glorious chance on the hour mark at 1-0, the outcome of this game might be slightly different. In the end, Germany's quality was superior, and they cantered to victory in the end.

Szoboszlai shows his frustration, hammering the ball into the stands and is booked. It's not been his day.

OFF THE LINE! So close for Hungary, they deserve a goal. Hungary are denied as Neuer drops a cross from deep under pressure from Adam. The rebound is then turned towards goal by Gazdag but Kimmich clears it off the line.

Mittelstadt goes into the book for clipping the heels of Nagy as Hungary looked to counter. That takes Germany's total to four for the tournament.
