That's all from me for this Euro 2024 match between Denmark and Serbia. It was tense and thoroughly engaging but ultimately ended goalless. I've been Danny Johnston, thanks for following along live on Tribe.
Serbia just did not do enough to win this match forward. Only at the end were they finally able to connect with a few crosses. Mitrovic desperately tried to win his side a couple of penalties but in truth they never really looked likely to score. Milinkovic-Savic had perhaps the best chance when he put his first-time effort straight at Schmeichel. They end their tournament with two draws and one loss. Perhaps most disappointingly for Serbia was their lack of end product in front of goal. With such talent in attacking positions, they only scored once in Germany, in the final minute against Slovenia.
Denmark wouldn't have wanted to be holding on like they had to at the end of this match, but will be pleased that they got the job done. Perhaps with the knowledge that a draw would be enough to advance, they dropped deeper and deeper as the match progressed. They miss out on the opportunity to top the group with England also drawing this evening. But, they defended very well at the end with Vestergaard in particular a colossus at the back. They end their group stage campaign with three draws and they have earned themselves a last 16 clash with Germany in Dortmund.
DENMARK ARE THROUGH TO THE LAST 16! And Serbia crash out! This game ends goalless as Serbia could just not find a way past the Danish defence. With the other game also finishing goalless, this means Denmark finish second while Serbia are bottom of the group.
90+5'
Jovic knocks the ball wide to Mladenovic. He finds Tadic ahead of him but he puts his pass behind Jovic. Denmark clear it up the field and that should be that.
90+4'
It's a scrap as the ball bounces around the penalty area. Vestergaard manages to win the first header and he is then caught by the arm of Jovic. The free kick goes the way of Denmark who will take their time over it.
90+4'
Tadic cuts back onto his left foot and whips a fierce cross into the box. It's over the head of Vestergaard and it bounces just in front of Schmeichel. The goalkeeper gratefully clings onto this ball.
90+2'
HUGE CHANCE! That may be it for Serbia! Mladenvoic whips a ball forward to the edge of the box. Jovic can't bring it under control but it stays at the feet of Vlahovic. He launches the ball out to the right flank. Tadic turns in and out near the top right corner of the box. He lays it across to Milinkovic-Savic. First time, he tries to pass it into the bottom corner. But, he puts it straight at Schmeichel who comfortably saves and then holds onto the ball.
90+1'
Veljkovic launches the ball forward. Mitrovic flicks it on down the left. Mladenovic is running after it and Andersen is across to hook the ball clear for a Serbian throw.
