That rounds things off from Hamburg this evening. An absolute classic ends with Turkey progressing. For now, this is Nicholas Friedlander signing off.
They didn't do it the easy way, but Turkey have gotten over the line to qualify for the last 16 in second spot. That looked in jeopardy for a long time though, showing real nerves after the Soucek equaliser. Earlier they were in cruise control, as a belting Hakan Calhanoglu strike had them with one foot into the next round. Their young attack was slick, particularly Baris Yilmaz who was damaging down the right channel. He deserved a goal, but in the end it was Cenk Tosun who found the winner, settling the tie. They finish second on head to head, meaning they'll take on Austria for a spot in the quarter finals.
A brave effort from Czechia ultimately comes up short. After a first half where chances were few and far between, the game sprung into life in the second half, and despite conceding first, they didn't give up, equalising somewhat fortuitously through Tomas Soucek. They pushed on, and threatened a second, but they lacked a little bit of quality, particularly in the absence of Patrik Schick. As they threw numbers forward, they were left exposed at the back, and that told in the end as Cenk Tosun fired home the winner. Keeping in mind they were down to ten men from the 20th minute onwards, the performance was top notch. An unsuccessful campaign for the Czechs though, particularly after reaching the quarter finals last time around.
IT'S CARNAGE IN HAMBURG! If there weren't enough cards produced across the 90, a melee after the full-time whilst and a pitch invader means the referee has more work to do yet. Turkey ought to be careful, because they're through, though half the team might end up banned with all the bookings they've picked up here! For Czechia, a red card has been produced for Tomas Chory who took things a step too far. All in all though, Cenk Tosun's late goal means Turkey get the win, and second spot in the group.

Demiral calms things down, though the majority of his teammates continue to bomb on looking for a third. There is no need though! The full-time whistle has blown!
90+7'
Turkey work it long, getting the chance to probe for another one. Tosun looked to drive into the box, but just slipped as Czechia were able to clear.
