Three years on after Turkey were labelled as dark horses for the last Euros, they perhaps now are the true dark horses of this tournament. Without a win in any of their four matches coming into this tournament, many wouldn't have picked them to even make it out of the group. They came into this one as firm underdogs against a talented, high-performing Austrian side. But, they capitalised on two set-pieces with Demiral bagging an unlikely brace. They did not hold the ball anywhere near as well in the second half but they defended admirably. They put their bodies on the line to keep Austria at bay. Just. Gunok's save at the death will be remembered as one of the great moments. So now they can dare to dream as they reach the final eight.
