That means that they finish second in the group and send Croatia all but crashing out along with Albania. Their chances of progression are pretty slim now with them not being amongst some of the best third place finishers. Italy meanwhile will face Switzerland in the next stage while Spain must wait to find out who they will play.
Albania's run in Euro 2024 comes to an end. They gave it a good go, made a good account of themselves and credit to them. This is a platform that the FSHF should look to build off in years to come. They've got some good talent in their squad and will hopefully be a fixture in global and continental tournaments to come.
Spain have been pretty perfect in the group stages. They finish on 9 points out of 9 and they've done so without conceding a goal. It was their second string outfit out there tonight but the standards didn't really drop off. There's so much cohesion in this squad and they'll be a tough team to stop as we go deeper into this tournament.

Albania relentlessly attacking the Spanish box but it's all in vain now you feel. Not enough time left and frankly, not enough urgency in the final third from Albania. They just haven't looked convincing in the box.

Broja dances around a defender to get into the box but support arrives quickly and play is broken up.

GREAT SAVE! The ball bobbles around dangerously in the box following the delivery. There's three Albanian players standing over the ball and Broja takes control eventually. Drags it back onto his left and pokes it towards goal but Raya leaps high to his right to pluck it out of the air. Great reaction save.
