That is all from us here at Tribe for live coverage of this international friendly between France and Germany at the Groupama Stadium, where Julian Nagelsmann's men have recorded an impressive victory over Didier Deschamps lacklustre French side. I'm Andrew Smith and thank you for joining me. Until next time!
That might not change the odds for the winners of the Euros in Germany but you have to say, the host nation looked ever so impressive tonight. After two miserable outings in the two previous World Cups- being eliminated in the group stages- and falling short in the 2020 Euros, there has been huge pressure on this German squad, for both the fans and the hierarchy of the federation. Tonight is a glimpse of this new look side and perhaps they have turned a corner. For France, Deschamps won't panic but there will be a slight bit of concern at how easily his side were nullified in that second half. They managed just two shots on target all game were second-best in terms of possession too. A strange performance from the former world champions who will need to be much better than that if they are to go all the way in the summer.
France had only lost once after the World Cup final in Qatar before this game and that was to Germany. Tonight, they have been beaten in their own backyard by the same opposition and rather comprehensively too. Wirtz's stunning goal after just seven seconds set the tone for the game as Germany controlled the tempo early on. France grew into midway through the second half and battered the Germany goal but failed to find the equaliser. Havertz's fine finish after a flowing Germany move kept with the theme of Germany scoring straight from kick-off as France struggled to come back from there. Their best chance came from an almost calamitous error from Mittelstadt as Mbappe's influence on the left deteriorated. A morale-boosting victory for Julian Nagelsmann and for Didier Deschamps, there is plenty to ponder.

SHOT! It's just not going to be France's night. Giroud gets on the end of a cross from the left by Mbappe. He goes for an acrobatic finish and almost hits the target, but the ball whiskers past the post. Ter Stegen was a mere spectator there, as he saw the ball go out of play. He will be relieved to keep his clean sheet tonight, as well the defenders in front of him.

Another Germany debutant as Waldemar Anton of VfB Stuttgart replaces Kroos.

CHANCE! Hang on, France almost given a lifeline from nowhere! Mbappe is sent in behind by Fofana down the left. He pulls the ball into the area, and it looks like being a routine clearance for Mittelstädt but his hooked attempt to clear the ball cannons off his arm and is headed into his own net. Rudiger somehow scoops the ball off the line and onto the crossbar before Kolo Muani's rebound is blocked down. VAR clear up the penalty appeals but how did Germany survive that?

Muller tries to flick the ball onto Undav but there's far too much power on it as France win the goal kick. Germany cantering toward victory here.
