That's it for this match. Stay with us as Newcastle United travel to Birmingham City for their Fourth Round fixture, which kicks off soon. Until next time, this is Sanil Karan signing off.
Everton now shift their focus to the highly anticipated Merseyside derby against Liverpool in midweek, where they will look to bounce back from this defeat and make a statement. Following that, they will face a tricky trip to Crystal Palace next weekend. For Bournemouth, they will turn their attention to a league fixture against lowly Southampton next weekend. In the meantime, they will eagerly await the draw for the Fifth Round of the FA Cup, looking to build on their successful cup run with another strong performance.
Throughout the second half, Everton continued to push forward, trying to capitalize on their good moments and exert pressure on Bournemouth. However, the hosts were resolute at the back, with strong defending and key saves from Kepa ensuring that Everton could not find a way back into the game. As the final whistle blew, Bournemouth held on to their two-goal advantage, securing a well-earned victory. Despite Everton’s best efforts in the second half, including multiple shots hitting the post, they couldn’t find the breakthrough. Bournemouth’s defensive resilience and clinical finishing in the first half were enough to send them through to the fifth round, while Everton will be left to reflect on their missed chances.
Bournemouth made a strong start to the match, controlling possession and putting Everton on the back foot early on. Their efforts paid off when Semenyo was fouled in the box by Tarkowski, and he calmly converted the resulting penalty to give Bournemouth the lead. The visitors continued to press, and late in the first half, they doubled their advantage. A rebound in the box fell to Jebbison, who made no mistake in firing past Pickford to extend Bournemouth's lead to two. Everton came out for the second half with renewed energy and determination, quickly creating a series of chances. Alcaraz’s free kick from just outside the box came agonizingly close, striking the right post. Moments later, Harrison's cross found O'Brien in the box, but his header cannoned off the left post. Everton’s luck didn’t improve as another cross from Harrison on the right found no one, but the ball struck the left post once again. Despite these near-misses, Everton struggled to break down Bournemouth's defense and could not convert their opportunities.

CHANCE! Semenyo plays a clever pass through to Kluivert, sending him through on goal from the left. With Ouattara in a better position to his right, Kluivert opts to go for glory himself and shoots from the edge of the box. However, his attempt flies over the bar, and Ouattara is visibly furious, frustrated by the missed opportunity.

Brooks commits a poor late challenge on Iroegbunam in midfield, bringing him down. The referee has no hesitation in issuing a yellow card for the foul.
