Thanks for joining me here on Tribe as Anthony Elanga came off the bench to stun Aston Villa with a late winner for Nottingham Forest at the City Ground tonight; I hope you’ve enjoyed our coverage; I’ve been Rory Morrow, and I look forward to seeing you again soon for another live text commentary!
Up Next - Forest face a tough away day next week, travelling to Brentford in seven days’ time. Villa, meanwhile, will gear up to host champions, Manchester City in the early kick-off that same day.
For Aston Villa, that's a horrible way to lose a game of football. But they failed to heed their warning when VAR chalked off Wood's goal. Instead, they retreated deeper and were penned in when Forest twice made their pressure pay. Duran, up front, took his goal well and was a general nuisance to Forest's backline. Martinez made save after save but was culpable for allowing Milenkovic's header to creep in: although, we should note his incredible stop to keep out Dominguez's header earlier in the half. Perhaps their midweek Champions League game took a toll near the end but still, Villa will be very annoyed with the manner in which they let this game slide from their grasp.
For so long in the match, Nottingham Forest had looked good in the attacking areas, only to lack the final pass or a finishing touch. How they made amends for that with their late goals to flip the script! Milenkovic, solid in defence, added to his header at Old Trafford last weekend, with another well-taken goal. Elanga, off the bench, had the desired impact, injecting fresh energy into the side and taking his goal clinically. Gibbs-White and Hudson-Odoi were also both outstanding as neither of them gave any of Villa's defenders a moment's peace: what a way to win a football match! Forest will be utterly delighted, as they should be with what is turning into an excellent season!
FOREST STAGE A LATE, LATE COMEBACK TO DENY VILLA - Nottingham Forest have turned this game on it's head to take a dramatic victory at home! Villa, leading through Duran's second half strike, appeared to be in control as we entered the closing stages. However, Wood having a goal disallowed for offside by VAR seemed to light a fuse inside Forest as they ferociously attacked, scoring twice to turn the outcome upside down. First, Milenkovic headed home before Elanga, off the bench, tucked away Anderson's pass to cue bedlam inside the City Ground! Villa will feel heartbroken but all the points are going the way of Nottingham Forest!

CHANCE - Cash curls in a cross, from the right-edge of the box. It misses everybody in a Villa shirt before coming through to McGinn, 12 yards out. The Villa captain can't keep his effort down as he lashes the ball over the top, under pressure from Aina.

Onana, just inside the attacking half, turns to come forward. He's thwarted by Morato as the ball ends up with Barkley, centrally, inside the attacking half as Villa hurriedly try and create an opening.
90+4'
Hudson-Odoi, key to Forest's fightback, is replaced by Boly as Forest try to secure the three points.
