Thanks for being with me here on Tribe as Liverpool eased past Manchester United to continue their winning start to the season. For now, though, I’ve been Rory Morrow and I look forward to bringing you another live text commentary here soon!
Up Next - After the international break, Manchester United return to league action away at Southampton in the Saturday lunchtime slot. Liverpool host Nottingham Forest at Anfield later that same afternoon.
Liverpool continue to impress. Three wins and three clean sheets from three in the Premier League. They passed this test with flying colours, having been thwarted here in the league and FA Cup last season. Their attack continues to shine with Diaz and Salah both making it three goals in three games. Gravenberch, especially, linked play exceptionally from midfield in an all-round polished display. How far could they go this season?
Manchester United gave up a lot of chances in their midfield today. For both first-half goals, Casemiro was caught cold in the buildup play whilst the defence was statuesque, punishment fully inflicted by Diaz's excellent finishes. At the other end, there was promise as Zirkzee had his chances and would have scored with a more clinical touch. Ultimately, though, that's two defeats from the opening three league matches which leaves Erik Ten Hag under a little pressure as we reach the season's first international break.
THREE WINS FROM THREE FOR LIVERPOOL - All over at Old Trafford where Liverpool have maintained their winning start to the season in some style. After having an early Alexander-Arnold goal ruled out by VAR, Manchester United were undone twice in seven minutes before the break. Diaz scored both, the first a headed finish from Salah's cross before a low, accurate roller from Salah's cutback. After the break, United could have pulled one back only for Alisson to twice thwart Zirkzee. Then, Liverpool sealed the points as Szoboszlai fed Salah, who slotted in for his third goal, already, of the campaign.
90+4'
Bradley reaches Martinez's long ball before Rashford, chesting the ball down before feeding Gravenberch, centrally. He sends the ball forward to Nunez, inside the attacking half, but Maguire nips in well to dispossess The Uruguayan, on the edge of the box.
90+2'
Diallo dances into space down the right before a muscly combination of Mac Allister and Nunez sandwiches him off the ball at the expense of a corner. Alisson comfortably claims Diallo's subsequent delivery.

CHANCE - Szoboszlai's disguised pullback falls invitingly for Nunez to shoot, from the right-hand edge of the area. The substitute curls his strike straight at Onana.
