That's all we've got time for on Tribe, I'm afraid. Until next time, this is James Messenger saying goodbye!
Pep Guardiola's side climb to the top of the Premier League table, thanks to a slender one-goal victory over Southampton. The goal came inside five minutes through Erling Haaland, and try as they might, Manchester City simply couldn't find the second which would've provided some breathing space. Haaland went close on multiple other occasions while Aaron Ramsdale was called into action to keep his side in it too. At the other end, Southampton's best chance of the second half fell to substitute Adam Armstrong, who fired a shot just over the bar. A display to be encouraged by if you're of a Saints persuasion - how they'll rue Cameron Archer's missed chance on the stroke of half-time. Russell Martin's side remain at the foot of the Premier League table, still with just one point to their name, but they have cause to be optimistic after a valiant effort at the Etihad. City, meanwhile, can sit back and watch as Arsenal and Liverpool - the two sides who came into the weekend immediately below them in the table - prepare to face off at the Emirates Stadium tomorrow.
Manchester City's unbeaten start continues!
90+7'
A very late change for Manchester City as John Stones replaces Rico Lewis. I doubt he'll have time to touch the ball.

GOOD SAVE! Foden picks the ball up then slips in Haaland, who tries to lift his shot right-footed over Ramsdale but is denied by a smothering stop. The Saints live to fight another day! On we play...
90+4'
The corner comes to nothing, but still the pressure builds. Southampton giving their all in the final seconds.
90+3'
CHANCE! Southampton's turn to press now! Armstrong sends in a floated cross from the right and the towering Onuachu, who hasn't been on the pitch for long, sees his downward header cleared behind for a corner inside the six-yard box.
90+1'
CHANCE! A chance for Manchester City to break forward through Foden, who finds himself with options ahead of him and either side. He chooses to find Savinho on the left, and the Brazilian clips a cross into the mix which needs dealing with by Ramsdale, under pressure from Haaland.
