Ipswich could've let their heads drop in that second half but they performed admirably and in the end were beaten by a much better team. That's to be expected really but they will know that games against top 6 sides won't decide their season. The schedule hasn't been kind to them to start the campaign but in terms of performance, there's plenty to work with for Kieran McKenna's men.
The final whistle goes and City have made it two from two following an emphatic victory today. It was an ideal start for the away side when Szmodics gave them an early lead but a barrage of goals in quick succession quickly put the game beyond any real doubt. It stayed 3-1 until the 88th minute when a wonderful outside the box strike from Erling Haaland secured his hat trick.
