Drama at the end with an almost penalty for Leicester but Villa have just about held on to get all three points. Onana and Duran with the two goals for the away side with Buonanotte halving the deficit. Leicester began to apply a bit of pressure late on but it was too little too late with Villa showing their defensive might to hold on. 

Leicester began the game nicely but a brilliant Villa set piece move from a free kick unlocked the home defence. Onana poked home from close range and Villa began to assert a bit of dominance from then on. Leicester finished the half out a bit stronger and Steve Cooper will be looking to build on that momentum to avoid a third successive defeat to open the season. 

Corner swung into a decent enough area but Hermansen gets up to punch it away. Villa retain possession momentarily but it eventually goes behind for a goal kick. 

Leicester keeper Hermansen had a bit of a coming together with Tielemans in the box and stays down looking hurt. Only minor though and we'll restart with a drop ball for the blues. 

Corner for Villa and Digne takes his time walking over to take it. The away side in no rush whatsoever. 

Not quite as slick from the home side since that first goal went in. Villa have asserted their control now and they're proving difficult to break down. 

Digne picks it up in a lot of space over on the left and swings a cross to the edge of the box. Onana tries the strike but sees it blocked by the man in front of him. Hermansen then stalls on the ball a moment too long and almost gives it away in the 6 yard box to the pressing Watkins. Villa players are claiming for a penalty after the Villa striker ends up on the floor but Coote says that the keeper got the ball. 

SHOT! Ramsey tries his luck with a driven effort from the edge of the box and Hermansen gets down well to save. Turned round the post for a corner. 

Another corner for Villa with McGinn trying to attack the goal along the byline. The defence collapsed around him though and it ends up being deflected behind. 

Possession changes hands back and forth in midfield with neither side able build anything. Bogarde then gets a bit excited and is on the wrong end of a 50/50, clattering into Ayew. Gets none of the ball and goes into the book. 

Onana back to his feet and he wanders over to the sideline to continue getting treatment. Villa will be down to 10 momentarily.

Hello and welcome to Tribe for live coverage of the English Premier League. We're at the Kingpower Stadium today as Leicester City host Aston Villa. I'm Elliott Johns and I'll have all the action as it unfolds. 

Villa in complete control now with Leicester on the back foot since conceding. Aimless attacks only with the long balls forward being easily dealt with. 

SAVE! Free kick dinked in behind into a dangerous area. Lovely delivery that's allowed to bounce all the way to the back post. Okoli times his run well but can't get manage to get a powerful enough shot away. Martinez gets down well to his right to save. 

Buonanotte makes the wrong decision trying a shot from 30 yards out. Goes miles wide of the target and Martinez will take his time over the goal kick. 

Not the most convincing of opening five minutes from the away side. They don't look too comfortable on the ball and it's Leicester that have had the majority of the possession so far. Definitely the sharper of the two sides at the moment, Villa have to weather this storm. 

Steve Cooper doesn't have the best of records of late, having won just one of his last fifteen matches. He's looking to avoid three defeats in a row to open the campaign on Leicester's return to the top division. 

Leicester fans really getting behind their side as they go in search of an equaliser. They have to stop McGinn racing through and only an Okoli last ditch sliding tackle prevents the Scot from being through on goal. Great tackle. 

Skipp takes down Watkins from behind after Rogers again disrupted things in midfield. Watkins was sprinting away and that's a deserved yellow. 

SHOT! Okoli tries his luck from long range and it's not a terrible effort. It had Martinez worried for a moment but was always rising and goes over the bar. 

CHANCE! Good moment for Villa with McGinn picking it up right of the goal cutting in from the right hand side. Gets it onto his left foot and tries to bend it towards the far left corner but it's high and wide. 

Late change for the home side as McAteer comes on for Okoli. 

Okoli receives a caution for a late challenge on Rogers in midfield. 

Ayew picks it up in midfield and dribbles forward. Promising little period but he's cynically taken down from behind by a lunging Amadou Onana. The Villa player had been warned a couple of moments prior and is the first man to see yellow as a result. 

For the second game in a row, Villa have been forced into an early change. Emery errs on the side of caution by withdrawing Bailey after he sustained a bit of a knock.

Cooper turns to Bobby Reid to try and make an impact in the final moments. Ndidi makes way. 

Fabulous move from Villa down the right flank. Onana charges before floating a ball into Ramsey. Watkins can't quite manage to get on the end of his cross though and the danger is averted. 

Bit of a bizarre one as Emery decides to withdraw Ramsey who hasn't even been on for the whole game. Bogarde also makes way.

Good slick passing from Leicester at the edge of the Villa box and it's poked in behind the line for Vardy to chase. Martinez reacted well though and gets to it just ahead of the Leicester captain. 

Fatawu picks it up deep in his own half and makes a direct run through midfield. Tielamans comes across though and wins the ball well. Possession changes hands a few times then before Watkins bundles through Skipp. Free kick awarded. 

Two additional minutes to be played at the end of a back and forth first half. Leicester with a corner but a collision in the box between Digne and Fatawu causes a bit of a delay. 

Vardy into the book for a late tackle on Nedeljkovic. Free kick upcoming for Aston Villa and Tielemans takes. Swings it to the edge of the box from 10 yards inside the Leicester half but it's not reached its target. Villa retain possession though and McGinn pokes it over the byline in a duel with his marker. 

So two wins from three for Unai Emery's Aston Villa while Leicester fall to three consecutive defeats. Villa welcome Everton after the international break while Leicester face a trip to Selhurst Park. 

The referee points to the spot... but Vardy is offside! Konsa trips Vardy inside the box but the Leicester captain is deemed to be offside, and VAR confirms. 

Winks leaves it for Kristiansen but the cross doesn't beat the first man. Leicester try to get it back into the box but the cross is fairly aimless and goes over the byline. 

Onana attacks a corner at the back post but is a little too physical in over the top of the Leicester defender. Coote gives a free kick the other way. 

Villa playing with 10 for the time being. Looks like Bailey's race is run today though with Ramsey getting ready in the dugout. Villa will have to survive with 10 though until the sub can be made. 

Lovely close control from Tielemans as he dribbles his way into the box. His cutback is blocked though and Duran's header from deep is safely pouched by the keeper. 

LEICESTER GET ONE BACK! It's a sub of their own with an impact as Buonanotte volleys it into the bottom left corner. Well worked down the left to the byline and Mavididi crosses back into the 6 yard box. Ndidi gets a head on it and it loops it up. Buonanotte arrives just in time to place the volley past a diving Martinez. 

Watkins gives away a free kick for an overly aggressive shoulder in on Justin over on the Leicester right hand side. Leicester try to put it into the box with the big men waiting but it's easily defended in the end. 

Bit of an edge to this game in the last 5-10 minutes. Tackles are flying in all over the shop and the latest is a foul won by Leicester close to the left flank. Two players stand over it as the big men get forward into the box. 

The game just slipping away from Leicester as their latest attack breaks down thanks to an offside against Vardy. 

Collision in the Villa box and the home players and fans are certain it's a penalty. The referee disagrees though and Winks gets a yellow for over complaining in the aftermath. Boos ring around the stadium. Replay confirms that the ref probably made the right decision.

Ironic jeers from the Leicester crowd as the referee awards a foul for Leicester close to halfway. Pau Torres the culprit. 

Skipp plays a ball forward for Vardy to chase and he gets on the end of it well. Holds it up at the byline to give the support time to arrive and he finds Skipp at the edge of the box. Powers a right footed effort on target but he's hit it straight at Martinez. 

VILLA SCORE WITH A TRAINING GROUND MOVE! Free kick played short to Ramsey who made a fabulous run into the right hand side of the box. No one has tracked him and he cuts it back into a dangerous area inside the 6 yard box. Takes the slightest of touches off Watkins on the way through. Onana is unmarked and sticks out a leg to poke it into the bottom left corner. Wonderfully well worked set piece goal. 

Leicester attack down the left flank and swing a cross in from deep. Decent ball in but Martinez reacted well off his line to come claim. 

Vardy has the ball in the net but Coote had already blown the whistle after it ricocheted off him. Fortunate deflection off the referee into Skipp before he rolls it into Vardy's path. Slots it into the bottom right corner but the referee had indeed blown the whistle. 

Pause in play as Bailey is down receiving some treatment. Doesn't look massively serious but the medical staff are still doing their due diligence. 

TEAM NEWS ASTON VILLA: Matty Cash picked up a hamstring injury in the defeat to Arsenal last week. Lamare Bogarde comes in for his full debut in what is the only change to the starting eleven from a week ago. 

Back underway at the Kingpower. Jamie Vardy gets the ball rolling. 

Troubling period for Villa at the moment with the home side on the ascendency. Fatawu brings it inside and draws a foul from Lucas Digne. Ball sent into the box and Boagrde just about ushers it behind for a goal kick. 

Emery makes a double change. Onana and Watkins withdrawn for Barkley and Duran. 

TEAM NEWS LEICESTER CITY: Jordan Ayew makes his Premier League debut for his new club Leicester. He scored in the Carabao Cup against Tranmere last time out and will be looking to carry that form over against a challenging opposition. There's two other new signings in the starting eleven for Steve Cooper's men with Oliver Skipp and Caleb Okoli lining out. 

Steve Cooper gets some fresh legs on as Skipp, Fatawu and Ayew all make way. El Khannouss, Mavididi, Buonanotte all on. 

Villa restart with a drop ball and try to play it out from deep. The high press is on but they pass their way through it and work it down the other end of the pitch. The attack falls apart though and Torres commits a foul on Skipp in midfield. 

Tielemans concedes a cynical challenge about 15 yards out from the Villa box. He goes in the book and Leicester eye up their options from the free kick. 

McGinn now the latest man into the book after a rash challenge that prevented a Leicester counter attack. 

Onana stays down looking uncomfortable. He's holding his lower right leg and the physios are on to have a look at it. 

Squared to Tielemans at the edge of the box from the right hand side and he tries to work a bit of space to shoot. Faes steps in though with the Belgian just taking a touch too many. 

Bodies on the floor but Coote waves play on as Duran gingerly gets back to his feet. Fairly innocuous from what I saw and the ref made the correct decision. 

SAVE! Villa beginning to pressure now and this is perhaps their best chance of the game so far. Watkins played in behind by Rogers after a fabulous bit of work to win the ball back. Hermansen gets a strong hand on it though down low to his right. 

Duran with a terrible slide tackle through the back of a Leicester player. Easy yellow to give. 

Morgan Rogers was the standout performer against Arsenal last time out. He's impressed a lot of people around the league with many calling for his inclusion in the England squad. The 22 year old wasn't included which has prompted manager Unai Emery to criticise the move in the press.

We're underway in the midlands and it's Leicester on the ball early. Attacking down the left flank but nothing pans out and Villa steal possession away. Leicester have it back quick as a flash though and recycle back to the defence. 

JHON DURAN WHAT AN IMPACT! What a finish as well! Wonderful headed effort that just looped over the goalkeeper into the far right corner. Barkley collects at the edge of the box, gives to Tielemans who gives to Digne out on the left. Plays a one two with Tielemans and receives it again running at the byline. Crosses into the middle and Duran does the rest with a fabulous header. He's only just off the bench! 

SHOT! Good work from Barkley as he shows his physicality in the attacking third. Gets goal side and slides a pass into Duran in the box. Turns and has space to fire a shot away but it's hit straight at the goalkeeper.
