Thanks for joining me here on Tribe as West Ham dramatically struck late on to deny Fulham a second victory of the season at Craven Cottage. I hope you’ve enjoyed our coverage; I’ve been Rory Morrow and I look forward to seeing you again soon for another live text commentary!
Up Next - Fulham travel to Championship side, Preston North End, in the Carabao Cup’s third round on Tuesday evening before returning to Craven Cottage next Saturday afternoon to host Newcastle United in the league. West Ham, who’s own third round Cup tie comes later in September away at Liverpool, have a week’s recovery before facing Chelsea at home in next Saturday’s lunchtime encounter.
West Ham, who failed to fire in attack for large spells today, will be elated at their late equaliser. Despite going behind cheaply, they weathered the storm of Fulham attacks to stay in contention. Bowen gave warning of their threat when he combined with Kudus to force Leno into an excellent save. With the bench emptied, they needed a calm head to finish off some late chances. Ings certainly was composure personified in his lazor-accurate strike which maintains their unbeaten start to the season away from home.
That late concession will be a huge frustration for Fulham, who managed the game very well, protecting their lead diligently until the end. They needed a second goal, though, and went close to it twice through Traore while Smith Rowe volleyed just wide in the second half. A positive performance apart from the late lapse in concentration which has cost Fulham their second win of the season. On a positive note, Smith Rowe was excellent, creating the goal and frequently drawing West Ham defenders away with some athletic runs and clever ball retention.
POINT APEICE IN DRAMATIC ENDING - Having led since Raul Jimenez's twenty-fourth minute goal, Fulham concede in the fifth minute of injury time as substitute, Danny Ings, clinically earns West Ham a point late on. Traore was a huge threat for Fulham, throughout, having two first-half chances. Jimenez then profited from fine alertness from Smith Rowe to stroke Fulham ahead. West Ham, to their credit, rolled the dice with attacking substitutions in the second half. Leno denied Bowen but just as Fulham thought they'd done enough, Bowen came once more and his dangerous cutback was slotted home coolly by Ings to earn a share of the spoils!

CLOSE - Bassey then nearly wins it at the death! A deep cross from the left hand side from Nelson landed for the central defender to strike but his header bounces wide and that will be that!

INGS RESTORES PARITY LATE ON - West Ham are level late on at Craven Cottage! From the right flank, Soler's throw-in was met by a meek header by Berge. The ball drops to Bowen who scampers into the right-side of the area, cuts the ball back, centrally and there, unmarked, is Ings who strokes it into the bottom right corner! That's a huge goal!

CHANCE - Paqueta curls in the free kick, from the right-hand touchline. Andersen rises excellently to nod it behind, at the cost of a corner. This time, Kudus sends it into a congested six-yard area. Mavropanos makes contact with a glancing header which skims wide of the far right-hand post!
