That is all we have time for on Tribe as Everton and Newcastle fail to find the back of the net. I have been Elliot Thompson, thank you for joining me today. Tune in with us on Tribe tomorrow for more Premier League action.
We now head into the international break for the next two weeks. Everton have an away day against Ipswich Town awaiting them when club football is back. Newcastle, meanwhile have a home game against Brighton, who are still yet to play Tottenham tomorrow before the internationals.
Newcastle will be kicking themselves as they, of course, had a massive chance with the penalty. The former Everton man was brave enough to take it amid the chorus of boos, but it was a poorly taken spot-kick. He was the main man for Eddie Howe's side as they looked to him in the second half as well. Gordon did have the chance of the half after the break. He got on the end of Almiron's pass on the right side of the box. The angle wasn't the best, but he was still one-on-one with Pickford. He went for power, which meant the ball flew over the bar. If he had the chance back, he would have gone for accuracy, hitting it low into the bottom left corner. Almiron also had a half chance, which was blocked, but there was little attacking quality from Newcastle. Their dull start to the season, therefore, continues as Howe needs to come up with more ideas to bring back some free-flowing attacking football for The Geordies.
THE POINTS ARE SHARED AT GOODISON PARK! Everton have stretched their unbeaten run to three games as they keep their first clean sheet of the season. In the first half, The Toffees showed some threat in the opening half an hour. Doucoure had the ball in the back of the net as it headed in from a fantastic cross by Garner. However, VAR spotted that he was offside, so the goal was ruled out. Calvert-Lewin had a tame shot saved as well. The turning point was the Newcastle penalty, which Tarkowski needlessly gave away. Gordon stepped up to take it, but Pickford guessed the right way as he went down to his left to tip it around the corner, after that Newcastle were on top without really creating many big chances. The second half carried in that fashion as Everton defended well but struggled to go forward. So, in the end, both sides only really deserved one point.

SHOT! After Calvert-Lewin wins the free-kick, several Everton players stand with the ball. Garner puts it down from around 30 yards out. In a central position, he tries a sidefooted shot. The ball flies harmlessly over the bar. That sums this second half up.

Once again, Calvert-Lewin does so well to hold the ball up. He battles with Guimaraes and runs away from him. He charges towards the goal, but Schar trips him up. So, the Swiss defender has been shown a yellow card.

SHOT! Newcastle move forward down the right wing with Livramento. He runs at Young before playing a pass inside to Joelinton. He takes one touch and shoots on his right foot from outside the box. The ball travels with plenty of speed, but Pickford watches it fly wide of the left post.
