Arsenal's dominant performance has brought them within striking distance of the league summit, though they have played more matches than the teams above them. On the other hand, Palace's struggles continue as they remain stuck in 15th place, unable to add to their lone home league victory this season. Palace will look to bounce back as they travel to Bournemouth next, hoping for a much-needed three points. Meanwhile, Arsenal will be aiming to maintain their momentum when they host Ipswich Town at home.
Palace came out fighting after the break, coming close to pulling one back with Sarr’s diving header, but David Raya was equal to the task, making key saves on both Sarr and Mateta’s follow-up shots. Raya’s heroics kept the scoreline intact, and soon after, Arsenal all but sealed the victory when Gabriel Martinelli converted a rebound from a save by Henderson, following a missed opportunity by Jesus. Declan Rice, a substitute, then capped off a well-executed team move with a low strike, and later added a fifth goal to confirm the win, with the only downside for Arsenal being Bukayo Saka’s first-half injury.
Gabriel Jesus was given a starting spot by Mikel Arteta and made an immediate impact, scoring his first Premier League goal since January just six minutes in, as he capitalized on a loose ball following Bukayo Saka’s cross. Arsenal’s lead was short-lived, though, as Ismaila Sarr’s brilliant strike leveled the score just five minutes later. The match continued at a frantic pace, with a third goal coming from another Arsenal corner, as Jesus found the net again after a partial clearance. Despite a defensive blunder almost allowing Palace to equalize, David Raya saved a one-on-one chance from Jean-Philippe Mateta, and soon after, Kai Havertz scored, reacting quickly to a rebound off the post from Jesus’ header.

Guehi sends a long ball to the right side of the box, but Calafiori rises well to head it clear. As Arsenal look to regain possession, Devenny fouls Merino, giving the Gunners a free kick in a more settled position.
90+4'
Devenny tries to pick out Nketiah with a long ball into the box, but the delivery is too heavy and rolls harmlessly through to Raya. The Arsenal goalkeeper steps forward to collect it comfortably, ensuring there's no danger.
90+2'
Calafiori and Trossard link up well on the left before switching play to the right, then back again to Raya as Arsenal control the tempo. With the game settled, it's clear that the Gunners are simply playing out the final moments, patiently moving the ball around to maintain possession. Passing exercise.

BLOCK! Devenny plays a pass to Nketiah at the top of the box, and the striker looks to spin and get a shot off. However, his attempt is blocked by Saliba, and the deflection rolls into the hands of Raya for an easy claim.
