Thank you for joining Tribe for this coverage. Stay tuned as plenty of other Premier League games kick off in about twenty minutes. Goodbye for now.
This defeat sees Spurs stuck in eleventh place, with just one win from their last eight league games. On the other hand, Newcastle’s aspirations for a return to the UEFA Champions League next season were boosted by a fifth consecutive top-flight victory, as they now sit just behind Chelsea on goal difference, ahead of the Blues' match away at Crystal Palace.
Spurs came out strong in the second half, nearly equalizing when Brennan Johnson's follow-up strike hit the post after a fine one-handed save from Martin Dubravka to deny Pape Matar Sarr. James Maddison then came agonizingly close to scoring Spurs' second goal, but his expertly curled effort just missed the far right post. The North Londoners kept piling on the pressure in the closing stages, with both Johnson and Sergio Reguilon having attempts that flashed across the face of goal. Despite their relentless efforts, however, Spurs were unable to find the equalizer, and their resurgence ultimately went unrewarded.
Injury and illness plagued a struggling Spurs side, and a confident Newcastle arrived as tough opposition at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Spurs took the lead early with a brilliant diving header from Dominic Solanke, set up by Pedro Porro's perfect cross in the fourth minute, but Newcastle quickly responded. Anthony Gordon leveled the score with a precise strike two minutes later, and despite a potential handball by Joelinton in the build-up, the goal stood. The Magpies continued to apply pressure, and Alexander Isak completed the first-half turnaround, scoring in his seventh consecutive Premier League match with a composed finish from Jacob Murphy's deflected cross.

Spurs push forward once more, with Bissouma sending a long ball towards Maddison. However, Livramento steps in to win the header, and just as Maddison tries to latch onto the loose ball, the flag goes up for offside. With that, it looks like Newcastle's defense has held firm, and this could be the crucial moment to seal the win.

The away end is buzzing with excitement as Newcastle take their time, winning back-to-back throws on the right flank. The fans are fully behind their team, enjoying every moment as they slow the game down and control possession. It's a well-earned strategy to wind down the clock with the game winding towards its conclusion.

Reguilon picks up a late yellow card after a tough challenge on Tonali near the right flank. The tackle was deemed reckless by the referee, leading to the booking. Spurs' frustration is starting to show as the game reaches its final stages.

SAVE! Spurs maintain possession on the right, and Porro delivers a well-weighted cross aimed for Solanke in the box. Solanke rises to meet the ball, directing his header towards the left side of the goal. However, Dubravka is quick to react, diving to his left to make a strong save and hold onto the ball.
