That is all we have time for on Tribe as Manchester City win the Community Shield. I have been Elliot Thompson and thank you for joining me. Stay tuned with us on Tribe throughout the weekend to keep up to date with some pre-season scores from Premier League sides as they prepare for the new campaign.
Next week is when the proper fun starts as Manchester United open up the new Premier League season as they host Fulham on Friday. Meanwhile, Manchester City face Chelsea on Sunday at Stamford Bridge. Bring it on!
Manchester United will know not to be too down about it as the game is more or less a pre-season friendly. However, they will be disappointed about the 90 minutes as they should have realistically won the game. Rashford had such a big chance before Garnacho scored and he only managed to hit the post from around eight yards out. They looked the more threatening side on counter-attacks with Fernandes pulling the strings. Unfortunately though, it was the experienced Evans who scooped the penalty over the bar which means they leave Wembley empty-handed.
MANCHESTER CITY ARE THE COMMUNITY SHEILD WINNERS! Pep Guardiola's men start the season as they mean to go on as they come from behind to win the Community Shield. They looked down and out in the dying minutes of normal time but that is never the case with this City side. Bobb showed some great quick feet to get away from Martinez before standing up a cross to Silva at the back post. He ran off his marker to nod him sending the game to penalties. The shootout looked set to go wrong for them as Silva missed early but after a lot of penalties Akanji capitalised on Evans' miss to win them the trophy.
AKANJI WINS IT FOR MANCHESTER CITY! He steps up with a big breath and fires the ball down the middle. It skims the crossbar before going into the back of the net. Onana again is nowhere near the ball.

Penalty
Evans looks nervous as he walks up to the spot. He tries to go down the middle but leans back scooping the ball over the bar.

Missed Penalty
Dias slots the ball into basically an empty net as Onana dives far too early. Bizarre goalkeeping.
