Full-Time: 4 - 1
That rounds things off from Anfield. An easy win for the home side. For nowm this is Nicholas Friedlander signing out.
Ipswich came expecting little, and they got little. They tried their best, but that best was not good enough, as they were done in the first half. The second half was better, as the likes of Townsend made an impact, even if it was all academic. Jacob Greaves did his defensive job well and bagged a goal, whilst Julio Enciso gave a taster of what he can offer. Next up is a huge clash with Southampton which is a must win you feel.
Arne Slot's men have done the job, though they have not made any advancements on their lead at the top, as Arsenal managed to dig out a victory at Molineux. Ultimately, the Reds will not really care, as they remain comfortable league leaders. Mohammed Salah was unstoppable at times, as was Trent Alexander-Arnold amongst others. All the midfielders were outstanding in a great team performance. The late goal was the only dampener on the afternoon, but equally, having been able to manage the game, they will be feeling fresh ahead of the big midweek clash with PSV.
A routine afternoon for Liverpool, as they ease to victory against the struggling Ipswich Town. Three in the first half had them on their way, with the second half resembling somewhat a training run. The visitors did improve, and were rewarded with a consolation goal from a corner, put away by Jacob Greaves who was the best player for Ipswich this afternoon.
90+5'
Townsend lifts one final ball in behind for Hirst, but Alisson sweeps it up, and that will do for his side.
90+4'
Ipswich work a short routine this time, with Enciso chopping back to lift it in from the half space. He found Johnson just back of the penalty spot, though his header was poor as the offside flag went up.
90+4'
Broadhead dances down the left this time, and smashes it across force van Dijk into conceding a corner. Is there another one here for the visitors?
90+2'
With the clean sheet gone, Liverpool are now just content with seeing this one out to ensure no further damage is done.
