That wraps things up here on Tribe, thanks for joining us. Leicester come back to earn a handy point against a Spurs side who spurned a host of chances. Premier League football is back and we'll have all the coverage coming your way in the weeks and months ahead. See you next time!
Both sides return to action on Saturday afternoon after this final game of round one. Spurs return home where they welcome Everton, while Leicester hit the road and visit Fulham.
There will be disappointment in the Tottenham dressing room tonight. They really should have put this game to bed before Jamie Vardy's equaliser. Spurs had 13 corners and about 70% possession tonight but in truth they didn't really test Mads Hermansen in the Leicester goal enough. Too many of the shots they did manage were simply too close to him. Son Heung-min was lively in the first half but faded after the break, while Dominic Solanke showed glimpses of what he will bring to this Spurs side once he's settled in. Rodrigo Bentancur's head collision was a concern, and in truth took the wind out of their sails. The four changes after that lengthy stoppage didn't make much impact and the game petered out into a draw.
Steve Cooper will be delighted at the way his side dug in and took their opportunity to draw level when it came. Jamie Vardy can never be left unmarked in the six-yard box, and he made no mistake when Abdul Fatawa picked him out with a lovely cross. In the final third of the game Leicester came out their shells and posed far more questions of the Spurs defence going forward. Wilfred Ndidi was excellent in midfield, making crucial interventions at the back and almost finding a late winner in attack. Fewer mistakes were made defensively in the second half, which kept the chances and corner count much lower than before the break. Leicester won't always play sides with the attacking quality of Spurs, so this result will give them great confidence for the weeks ahead.
Leicester City fight their way back to an opening draw against Spurs. The visitors will wonder how they haven't won this after dominating large swathes of the game, but they couldn't find a crucial second goal and Jamie Vardy punished them. Leicester were much better in the latter stages and had a real go but they'll be delighted with a point.

WIDE! Lucas Bergvall whips the free kick in dangerously from the right. Richarlison is unmarked and has a free header at the near post from five yards out. He just needs to glance it on target but instead powers a header wide of the right corner.

Dejan Kulusevski gets the wrong side of Wout Faes with a lovely turn on his first touch down the right for Spurs. Faes slides in and catches him late. Kulusevski tries to play an advantage but can't. The visitors have a late free kick and Faes receives a booking.

Spurs are struggling to find much fluency having made six changes late on here. Dejan Kulusevski can't get the better of James Justin down the left and shoves him over in frustration. Leicester will take their time over this free kick.
