That wraps up our coverage from this one. Many thanks for tuning in and we will see you next time!
So a valuable 3 points for Man City away from home. The champions are back to winning ways and with some tough fixtures ahead, they need to build off this performance and look to improve because they were still far from their best today. Guardiola won't be naive to that fact though and will be aware that there is still plenty of work to do.
Leicester threatened for large parts of the game, dominating the first 20 minutes of the half. City's first shot of the half was actually the Haaland goal. Ruud van Nistelrooy will be bitterly disappointed that they didn't convert any of their chances, they certainly had plenty of them.
A first win in any competition since the 4th of December for Manchester City. It wasn't exactly vintage but they did just enough to keep an energetic Leicester side at bay for long enough. Savinho the pick of the bunch today with a goal and assist. Haaland the other man on the scoresheet and City fans will be hoping that this will be the start of a fightback this season. A positive way all in all to end 2024 for Man City.

Leicester win a corner late in the day as Daka's headed effort goes wide. Nothing comes of the delivery though as it's headed straight at Ortega who falls on the ball. Michael Oliver then decides that that will be that for today.
90+3'
City knocking it around just eeking the clock out. Oles from the away support after every pass.

Chodhury does well to get around Lewis on the right hand side and he cuts it back to where the space is in the middle of the city box. Unfortunately for him though there's no one there in a Leicester shirt and City clear.

Teenager Alves on for Mavididi in Leicester's final change.
