Forest move up to third, ahead of Arsenal's upcoming clash with Crystal Palace, while Brentford slip to 12th after suffering their first-ever Premier League defeat to Forest. That wraps up this match, but stay with us as Crystal Palace take on Arsenal, with that match kicking off shortly. Good-bye for now.
Forest started the second half strong, doubling their lead just six minutes after the break when Anthony Elanga capitalized on a defensive error, calmly finishing into the bottom left corner. Brentford pushed for a response, with Ajer's powerful strike kept out by a brilliant save from Sels just after the hour mark. However, despite their efforts, Brentford couldn't break down Forest's solid defense, and the visitors held firm to secure a comfortable win.
Brentford returned to the Gtech Community Stadium after a loss to Newcastle in the EFL Cup, hoping to bounce back in the league where they had been dominant at home. Mikkel Damsgaard tested Matz Sels early on, but it was Forest who grew into the match, with Chris Wood forcing a fine save from Mark Flekken. Despite some strong Brentford attacks, it was Forest who took the lead in the 38th minute, as Ola Aina finished off a low cross from Neco Williams to give them the advantage at halftime, marking their first Premier League away lead this season.

Wissa finds some space on the left and passes back to Lewis-Potter, who delivers a cross into the box. However, Murillo is there once again to head it clear. Forest's defense remains resolute, dealing with everything thrown at them. They just won't be beaten today.

Janelt breaks down the right, but his cross is well blocked by Toffolo. The resulting corner from Mbeumo on the right is whipped in, but Morato rises highest to head it clear.
90+2'
Awonyi comes on for Wood, who will be disappointed not to have found the back of the net. Toffolo replaces Williams as Forest look to run down the clock and secure the three points.
