That's all for this game, but stay tuned as Liverpool travel to Spurs, looking to capitalize after Chelsea dropped points. That match kicks off shortly. On behalf of everyone at Tribe, I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. Enjoy the holiday season, everyone. Until next time, this is Sanil Karan signing off.
Despite the win, Wolves will still spend Christmas Day in the bottom three. However, a two-point gap to Leicester in 17th is much more encouraging than the scenario they would have faced had they lost.
The game felt all but settled by halftime, with Leicester showing little sign of a comeback. However, they came out with some renewed energy, and Jamie Vardy was once again released through on goal. On this occasion, he managed to round goalkeeper Jose Sa, but with the angle tight, he could only fire into the side netting, missing a great opportunity to give Leicester a lifeline. Beyond that moment, though, Leicester failed to pose any real danger to Wolves, and their lack of attacking threat played a role in why Ruud van Nistelrooy chose to introduce Facundo Buonanotte off the bench. In reality, Leicester were fortunate not to fall further behind as Joao Gomes, unmarked inside the box, squandered a golden chance to add a fourth for Wolves, heading wide from just six yards out. By that point, with the game already effectively decided and the miss didn't impact the outcome, but it highlighted Leicester's woes on the day.
It's a fresh start for Wolves under new boss Vitor Pereira, who faces the challenge of keeping them clear of relegation, and they nearly started disastrously when Jamie Vardy’s shot was blocked by Jose Sa. However, they made the most of their fortune, taking the lead midway through the first half when Goncalo Guedes scored from a simple Nelson Semedo pass. Leicester’s woes continued when James Justin carelessly allowed a ball to reach Rodrigo Gomes as a Christmas gift, and Rodrigo Gomes slotted in the second. Though Vardy had a shot cleared close to the line, Wolves swiftly added a third before halftime through Matheus Cunha.
THE VITOR PEREIRA ERA AT WOLVES BEGINS WITH A WIN!

Soumare plays it out to Cordova-Reid on the right, and he sends in yet another cross into the box. Unfortunately, once again, it’s a straightforward ball that’s easily gathered by Sa, and this time, there aren’t even any Leicester runners in the area.

Winks plays it out to Cordova-Reid on the right, who then delivers a cross into the box. However, the ball is too straightforward and is easily claimed by Sa without any trouble.

Soumare plays a cross from the right into the box, targeting Vardy, but the striker struggles to break free from Dawson's tight marking. Vardy can't get a clean connection, and the ball falls easily into the hands of Jose Sa, who calmly gathers.
