Thanks to their much-needed victory, West Ham have climbed to 12th place in the league standings, marking their first win since August. This result brings a sense of relief to the Hammers, who have been striving to regain their form. On the other hand, Ipswich find themselves in a precarious position, sitting in 17th place. This disappointing outcome means they have yet to secure a win in their first seven matches of the season, a feat they have only experienced twice in their history. The pressure is now mounting on Ipswich as they seek to turn their fortunes around and avoid a deeper struggle as the season progresses.
Ipswich faced an uphill battle shortly after the restart when they put themselves in a precarious position just four minutes into the second half. A poorly controlled heavy backpass left goalkeeper Arijanet Muric scrambling, as he could only send the ball directly towards Jarrod Bowen. Seizing the opportunity, Bowen expertly cut inside onto his favored right foot and found the bottom corner of the net, scoring his second league goal of the season. The situation worsened for Ipswich when Lucas Paqueta joined the scoring frenzy, tapping in from Bowen’s deflected cross, which extinguished any lingering hopes Ipswich had of mounting a comeback and left them reeling from West Ham’s relentless offensive pressure till the very end.
Michail Antonio wasted no time in putting West Ham ahead, scoring just 48 seconds into the match with a deft finish from Jarrod Bowen's low cross, marking his fifth goal against Ipswich. However, the early lead was short-lived as Liam Delap equalized for Ipswich with a well-placed right-foot shot from a corner, much to the frustration of Alphonse Areola, who was beaten at his near post. Both teams continued to push for chances in an exciting first half, with Jacob Greaves narrowly missing the target and Mohammed Kudus hitting the post with a powerful header. Just before halftime, West Ham's persistence paid off when Kudus capitalized on a rebound, heading in the goal after Antonio's effort rattled the crossbar, restoring the home side's advantage.

Chaplin attempts to slip a pass into the box, but Kilman is quick to intercept, snuffing out the opportunity. West Ham swiftly transition to counter-attack, with Bowen leading the charge downfield. However, a misjudged touch from Bowen allows Ipswich to regain possession, halting the promising move before it can develop further.
90+2'
OVER! Aaron Cresswell takes responsibility for the free kick, stepping up with confidence to strike from a mid-range position. However, despite the power behind his shot, it sails well over the bar, failing to challenge the Ipswich goalkeeper.

Bowen and Summerville link up effectively just outside the box, looking to create a scoring opportunity. However, Greaves intervenes, taking down Summerville and conceding a free kick in a dangerous position. This presents West Ham with a promising chance to test the Ipswich defense with a well-placed shot from the set piece.

Bowen spots Summerville making a clever run behind the defense and passes the ball to him on the left side of the box. Summerville attempts to deliver a low cross aimed at his teammates in the area. However, his effort goes directly to Muric, who is well-positioned to gather the ball and prevent any danger.
