On that cheery note, I'll sign off. Thank you for joining me for today's Premier League clash between Southampton and Brentford. Fancy more? You're in luck; Brighton vs Arsenal is kicking off at 17:30 GMT. I'll see you there!
Southampton fans, where do you go from here? They never looked like getting into this match against a team that had the joint worst away record. You have to question what's changed since Juric's appointment; they were toothless under Russell Martin but they seem to have gotten worse since the managerial change. Southampton now have the worst home record, the worst away record, and rightly end the day in last place; a full 8 points behind Leicester in 19th place.
Well done to Brentford. They have their 1st win of the season, and what a win! 5 goals, 2 from Mbeumo, and 1 each from Wissa, Schade, and Lewis-Potter. They had another goal disallowed, hit the bar, Wissa missed a 1-on-1... they really could've had more, which is a bit mad. They were in control for this entire match, apart from about 5 minutes at the end of the 1st half, and about 5 minutes after Southampton's attacking changes. Brentford jump up to 10th position in the table.
The referee puts Southampton out of their misery. A truly awful second half from the Saints, which only seemed to get worse after the substitutions.

Southampton really do look rudderless at times. It starts with Harwood-Bellis playing a pass into midfield, but it's intercepted by Janelt and played forward. It's not a great pass in the air, which Sugawara tries to head back to the keeper, but he absolutely messes it up and it falls into the path of Wissa 25 yards out. He has Mbeumo to his right as he enters the box, but he shoots to Ramsdale's left instead, across goal, and it's perfectly in the bottom corner.

Maghoma wins the ball on the halfway line and advances into the middle of the pitch. He finds Mbeumo just to the right of the opposition box, who cuts inside. Rather than shoot, he plays a clever pass to the back post to Lewis-Potter, but Harwood-Bellis slips at the worst moment, and the Brentford full back shoots across goal into the side of the right-side net. Boos ring out from the home fans.
