Spurs have progressed to the last four of the Carabao Cup after a dramatic seven-goal thriller with Manchester United. Make sure you join us again on Tribe over the weekend for all the Premier League action. It's been a pleasure bringing you this one from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. For now, Harrison Ryburn signing out.
The draw for the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup are just about to take place, where Spurs will learn who they'll face out of Arsenal, Newcastle, and Liverpool. Next up for them is visit from the Reds in the Premier League on Sunday though, where defensively they'll have to be a lot better. Meanwhile, Manchester United return to Old Trafford for a clash with Bournemouth on the same day.
No repeat of the dramatic late heroics at the Etihad for Manchester United this evening, who have come crashing back down to Earth, and crashed out of the Carabao Cup as a result. For long stages they were well below-par, and the three-goal gap reflected that, with Lisandro Martinez guilty of making a couple of poor errors in the defensive line. The triple change on the hour mark appeared to change things though, and Diallo and Zirkzee injected some life into the press and Amorim's attack. It led to a couple of errors out of Forster, but with the momentum turned in their favour, they gave up another goal at their end to nail the coffin on their Carabao Cup hopes. It's a dissapointing way for United to go out, but they were simply too open today, and paid the price.
Victory for Spurs, but Ange Postecoglu has been left sweating profusely at the final whistle. His side appeared to be cruising for the final four, but they caught late nerves and were left dangling onto the lead at the final whsitle. Fraser Forster has to be to blame for a lot of it, giving away two goals whilst attempting to play out from the back. It's a wonder he wasn't replaced with twenty minutes to play, and the rest of his teammates froze as he fell apart in goal. Ultimately the Lilywhites have Son Heung-Min to thank for bailing them out, coming up with a tremendous 'Olimpico' just before the end of normal time for the winner. It's not a performance that will ease the pressure, or give Spurs any great deal of confidence moving forward, but their quest to end the trophy drought remains on course in the Carabao Cup.
Fulltime in London and Spurs have held on to edge Manchester United in a seven-goal thriller, securing passage to the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup. The Lilywhites appeared to be cruising towards the finish line when goals from Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke gave them a three-goal lead just nine minutes into the second half. Two horrible goalkeepeeing errors from Fraser Forster signalled a collapse though, and Joshua Zirkzee and Amad Diallo were on hand to close the gap for United. Son Heung-Min stood up with the decisive strike against the run of play however, saving the day for Spurs with an 'Olimpico' late on. The Red Devils got one back in injury-time through Johnny Evans, but they ran out of time, and Spurs did just enough to seal their place in the final four for the third time in five years. Everyone is in need of a breath after that one.

HOLD YOUR HORSES! EVANS GETS ONE BACK! Another dramatic twist! The visitors win a corner down the right, and Diallo comes across to take. He whips the delivery into the near post, where Evans leaps up and throws his head at it. He beats Bissouma to the ball and flicks it past Forster inside the top right corner. United have a third goal and still harbour hope with a few minutes of injury-time to play!
