That rounds things off from Old Trafford. Manchester United advance thanks to a late Maguire goal. This is Nicholas Friedlander signing off.
Leicester City will be gutted. They were good in the first half, and were worthy of their lead, but they ultimately failed to kick on, and had no answers as United pressed on in the second half. Going forward, outside of the odd moment from Bilal El Khannouss, they had next to nothing. Defensively, they were brave, defending stoutly, but you felt like the defeat was inevitable in the end. They bow out of the FA Cup, and now switch their full focus to the Premier League survival battle. Next up is a home game against Arsenal.
It was far from convincing, but United got the job done in the end. They were better in the second half, showing more zip in the final third, even if the desperate lack of quality remained. Once they got the equaliser, you always felt they would find a winner, and they did so at the death. Bruno Fernandes delivered a great ball, which was nodded home by Harry Maguire, even if he was miles offside. There are still more questions than answers, but Alejandro Garnacho provided a bit of a positive with his performance off the bench. It is back to league action for United, when they travel to Tottenham on Sunday.
An offside goal sees Manchester United avoid the need for extra time, eventually getting past a spirited Leicester City outfit. There was a lack of quality from both sides, but United applied enough pressure in the second half to eventually get over the line to victory. Alejandro Garnacho made all the difference with his pace and endeavour on the left, and deservedly picks up the man of the match accolade. United's defence lives to fight another day.

HARRY MAGUIRE WINS IT FOR UNITED! Fernandes launched it in from miles out on the left, with it just fading to the back corner of the six-yard box. Maguire charged onto it, powering a header into the bottom left corner. There was a hint of offside, but with no VAR, the goal will stand!
