That's all we've got time for on Tribe, I'm afraid. Until next time, this is James Messenger saying goodbye!
A Super Sunday for Arne Slot's Liverpool as they inflict more misery on a beleaguered Manchester City side who are now winless in seven. Cody Gakpo set the Reds on their way with 12 minutes gone, then Mo Salah made sure of the points from the penalty spot with 12 to go. No-one can argue against Liverpool being deserved winners today. Their title credentials grow by the week, and already they have racked up what some believe to be an unassailable lead. A long way to go in the title race, of course, but on the basis of today, they'll take some stopping. As for Manchester City, there's lots of work to do. With their quest for a fifth straight title already looking to be falling flat, Pep Guardiola knows things need to turn around quickly - starting with a home game against high-flying Nottingham Forest on Wednesday.
Liverpool go nine points clear at the top!

BLOCKED! Gravenberch's direct forward run is brought to a halt near the edge of the Manchester City penalty area, but the ball is only poked away as far as Robertson. He charges onto the ball and gets plenty of power behind his shot, which takes a couple of ricochets and ends up bouncing away from Ortega's goal.

Another positive tick for Liverpool as Harvey Elliott makes his long-awaited return from injury. Luis Diaz is the player withdrawn.

Savinho looks to wriggle away from Robertson near the right touchline, but there's no escaping the clutches of the Scotsman as he turns the ball out for a throw-in. Minus the Van Dijk mishap from a few minutes ago, Liverpool have been near-perfect in a defensive sense this afternoon. What a week it's been for the Reds!
