Thanks for joining Tribe for this coverage. There's plenty more football action coming up over the weekend here on Tribe. Until then, this is Sanil Karan signing off.
West Ham secured consecutive league victories for the first time since March, putting in a solid performance to earn the three points. They’ll look to build on this momentum as they host Newcastle United next. For Leicester, it’s more frustration as they remain five points adrift of safety, and their task doesn’t get any easier. With Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, and Newcastle United up next, the Foxes face a daunting run of fixtures in their bid to climb out of the relegation zone.
Leicester boss Van Nistelrooy chose to hold off making any changes at halftime, waiting until the 60th minute to introduce Harry Winks and Stephy Mavididi, hoping the duo could ignite an unlikely fightback. Following these changes, the Foxes did show a bit more intent, with Vestergaard getting a rare header on target from a corner, offering a momentary glimmer of hope for the travelling fans. However, Alphonse Areola remained untroubled, comfortably collecting the header in what had been a relatively uneventful evening for the West Ham goalkeeper. Areola’s clean sheet helped the hosts seal the victory, marking back-to-back shutouts as West Ham managed to see out the contest with ease.
Tomas Soucek opened the scoring for West Ham after Mads Hermansen had made a smart stop to deny Mohammed Kudus, but no Leicester defender reacted quickly enough to prevent Soucek from tapping in the rebound. West Ham controlled the game with minimal effort against a passive Leicester side and doubled their lead just before halftime through an own goal by Vestergaard. A near-post corner off the left allowed Jarrod Bowen to squeeze in from a tight angle with a crucial deflection off Vestergaard, who could only watch as the ball found the back of the net, leaving Leicester manager Van Nistelrooy with challenging team talk at the break.

OVER! Ward-Prowse swings in a West Ham corner from the right, aiming to create another chance for his side. Mavropanos rises to meet it, but struggles to get a clean header on the ball. It ends up sailing well over the bar.
90+2'
West Ham move the ball out to Wan-Bissaka on the right, looking for another attacking opportunity. He delivers a cross into the box, but it's poorly executed, hitting Faes in the process before going out.
90+1'
Bowen picks out Emerson in acres of space on the left, and the full-back delivers a cross into the box. However, the delivery is a little too straightforward, allowing Hermansen to collect with ease. Despite the space, Emerson couldn't find a teammate, and the chance fizzles out harmlessly.

Soucek receives a warm ovation from the home crowd as he makes his way off the pitch, signaling the end of his night’s work. In his place comes Irving, who will look to add fresh energy to West Ham's midfield as they continue to control the game.
