Thanks for joining me here on Tribe as Brentford battled past Crystal Palace to make it successive Premier League away wins at Selhurst Park this afternoon: I hope you’ve enjoyed our coverage: I’ve been Rory Morrow, and I look forward to seeing you again soon for another live text commentary!
Up Next - A week’s recovery for Brentford before they’re back at home to host Tottenham Hotspur next Sunday afternoon. Palace also return to action at the same time when they face Manchester United, away at Old Trafford.
Brentford, meanwhile, make it successive away Premier League wins with a gritty win, decorated by moments of quality in the final third. Whilst Mbeumo, who was a livewire all game, was fortunate to get a second chance at his penalty, he displayed a strong mindset to tuck away the spot-kick, at the second time of asking. Schade was brave in heading in what turned out to be the match-winning goal and Damsgaard frequently posed Palace's midfield tricky questions. At the back, they were resolute with Collins and van den Berg nullifying Mateta in the physical contests. It's a really hard-fought win and one that will feel all the more satisfying, as a result!
For Palace, there'll be disappointment at coming out on the wrong end of a finely poised game. The penalty Lacroix conceded was cheap, as was the encroaching that gave Mbeumo a second chance to score. Esse, off the bench, really made his presence felt with a clinically taken goal and Eze, who threatened throughout, went close on a number of occasions, including with a late free kick. But, really, Palace didn't pose Brentford enough problems and must lick their wounds as they are beaten.
BRENTFORD SEE OUT A HARD-FOUGHT WIN - Thomas Frank's side hold on and claim all three points at Selhurst Park, this afternoon! After late heartbreak against Liverpool last weekend, Brentford can celebrate this week as they edge a dramatic second half! Mbeumo's penalty, after he got a second chance to take it when Palace encroached, opened the scoring midway inside the second half. Brentford doubled their lead when Schade bravely stooped to head home Damsgaard's delivery. Instantly, Palace pulled one back with Esse, only on from the bench, slamming in a goal. But despite a tense finale, it's Brentford who take all three points from this encounter!

Mbeumo rolls it short to Wissa, from the left. It's sent back to Mbeumo who curls a cross into the middle. Henderson comes off his line to catch for the hosts. Palace then come forward at pace as Eze gets the ball from Esse, out left. Eze swirls a cross into the box but Flekken comes and gathers, crucially, for The Bees, on his six-yard line.
90+9'
Wissa shows great strength down the left side of the box to fend off Munoz and force the Palace wing-back into conceding a corner. Brentford have the ball right where they want it...

CHANCE - Not far over, at all! Eze takes a wonderful free kick, getting the ball up and over the wall of anxious Brentford players. But there's not enough dip on his strike, which goes narrowly over Flekken's crossbar.
90+6'
Eze's swirling delivery, from the right, is cleared by the head of Janelt, climbing high inside his six-yard box. Esse regathers the ball, centrally and tries to lay it off to Guehi, on the edge of the box. Mee cynically drags Guehi down, giving Palace a central free kick, right on the edge. This is very much Eze territory...
