This draw leaves Chelsea's top-four hopes hanging in the balance, as fifth-placed Newcastle United can overtake them with a win over Wolverhampton Wanderers tomorrow. For Bournemouth, although they were left frustrated by the late equalizer, their continued strong form keeps them in seventh place, with European qualification now looking like a real possibility under Andoni Iraola.
Bournemouth quickly took advantage of a mistimed challenge by Moises Caicedo on Antoine Semenyo, with Kluivert converting the resulting penalty to level the score. Kluivert, who had replaced the injured James Hill in the 23rd minute, made no mistake from the spot. Chelsea thought they had an advantage when VAR flagged a foul by David Brooks on Marc Cucurella, but the Bournemouth player only received a yellow card. The match remained open, and with just over 20 minutes to go, Semenyo put Bournemouth ahead by powering a shot past Sanchez at the near left post. Chelsea pushed for an equalizer and found it in stoppage time when captain Reece James curled in a free-kick to secure a point for his side.
Chelsea made a fast start in their return to Premier League action, taking the lead in the 13th minute when Nicolas Jackson's reverse pass set up Cole Palmer for a composed finish past Mark Travers. Jackson played a key role in the opener but continued to struggle with his finishing, sending a bobbling cross over the bar later in the first half. The match then featured a dramatic sequence as both teams struck the woodwork within moments of each other, with Kluivert hitting the post before Jackson's effort curled narrowly wide. Chelsea should have extended their lead just before halftime, but Jackson's header from Palmer’s cross was straight at Travers, and he turned the rebound wide, leaving Chelsea with just a slender lead at the break.

Chelsea have one last chance with a late corner on the left. Neto sends a well-placed ball into the box, and Tosin rises to meet it, winning the first header. However, his effort drifts well wide to the left, and Chelsea's hopes of finding a late winner slip away.
90+7'
Semenyo makes a powerful run down the left, but instead of taking on the Chelsea defense, he decides to hold the ball and kill some precious time. His patience pays off as he wins a throw-in off Tosin, further frustrating Chelsea as Bournemouth continue to manage the clock.
90+5'
CHELSEA FIND THE EQUALIZER LATE ON! It's James and Palmer who stand over the free kick, eyeing up the opportunity. James takes the responsibility, curling the ball around the wall with precision, sending it low to the bottom right corner. Travers dives but can't reach it, and Chelsea are level, as James' expertly placed shot finds the back of the net.

Felix has been full of energy since his introduction, and his persistence pays off as Christie fouls him to concede a free-kick just outside the box. Despite the foul being a clear yellow card offense, referee Robert Jones opts not to brandish a second yellow for Christie, and the Scot escapes punishment, staying on the pitch.
