Wolves had a torrid first half until Guedes side-footed a nice team move past Steele into the top right corner. He finished off a break, which was started by Doherty, who linked up well with Rodrigo Gomes. In the second half, their energy levels went up as they pressed Brighton much higher up the field. Also, their press was a joint effort and not just Guedes hopelessly closing players down. However, they simply couldn't make a big opening. When they did in the second 45 minutes, it was after Brighton had already scored their third. The second goal was a wonderfully fierce strike from Doyle, which cannoned off the crossbar. However, it was too little too late for Gary O'Neil's men, who have now lost four games out of six this season.
