Brentford have progressed through to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup for the first time in two seasons, following a comeback victory over Leyton Orient. Make sure you join us again on Tribe tomorrow for more Carabao Cup and UEFA Champions League action. It's been a pleasure bringing you all the action from the Gtech Community Stadium tonight. For now, Harrison Ryburn signing out.
Next for Brentford is a trip to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, where they'll be hoping to push for a point or three should they replicate their effort against Manchester City last week. Meanwhile, Leyton Orient will be looking to build from the momentum of their first League One win last weekend when they make the trip to Edgeley Park and Stockport County on the same day.
A valiant effort from Leyton Orient, who came to disrupt, and gave a decent account of themselves in their first match against Premier League opposition for ten years. Fielding a number of reserves, they were always going to be underdogs, but they gave something for their travelling fans to celebrate by taking the lead within the opening eleven minutes. When Brentford turned the dial up, they just couldn't compete though, and struggled to keep up as their opponents took control of possession and slowly broke them down. Richie Wellens' side pushed for a goal back in the second half and looked to have the momentum behind them, all until Simpson was shown a second yellow card and they were reduced to ten men for the remainder.
Routine for Brentford in the end, even if they didn't really have to get out of second gear for long stages. The response to falling behind was most impressive, and the Bees displayed their superior quality by levelling the match back up within six minutes, before all but sealing progression with three well-taken goals before the break. Thomas Frank's side persisted with playing out from the back for the majority of the night, encouraging the Leyton Orient press with the hope of opening space for Kevin Schade to chase a number of long balls up top. It kept their opponents on their toes, but didn't exactly create a whole host of chances. Ultimately it was some lethal finishing that proved the difference, with Fabio Carvalho proving the star with his goal and two assists.
Fulltime at the Gtech Community Stadium and Brentford have sealed progression to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup with a come-from-behind victory over Leyton Orient. The Bees were stunned early when Cooper nodded the O's in front, but Thomas Frank's side were quick to respond, and a goal and two assists from Fabio Carvalho helped them to three goals before the break. The visitors pushed for a comeback of their own in the second half, but a second yellow card for Jack Simpson dented any hopes, and Brentford were able to coast to victory in the end. It's a result that ends their two-year losing streak at this stage of the competition, and Thomas Frank's men can now look forward to a berth in the last sixteen.

Mbeumo shifts it back across to the left for Yogane, who makes a run down the left-hand side of the box and wins a corner. The set-piece is taken short again, before Carvalho wins another off Warrington.
