Thanks for joining Tribe for this coverage. Quickly switch tabs to follow the West Ham v. Aston Villa game which is less than fifteen minutes away. Until next time, this is Sanil Karan signing off.
As is often the case with the opening weekend, the match didn't feature an abundance of high-quality play, but it did offer glimpses of potential from both teams. Each side displayed enough promise to suggest that they are focused on advancing this season, rather than merely surviving and looking over their shoulders. With a few more games under their belts, both teams could build on these early signs and aim for a more ambitious finish.
Bournemouth pressed hard in the second half of a scrappy match, with Boly forcing Neto into a save with a powerful header and Semenyo firing a low shot straight at Sels. The introduction of record signing Elliot Anderson lifted the Forest fans as the game neared its end. It seemed Bournemouth would miss Solanke's presence until three minutes from time when a deflected clearance fell to Semenyo, who scored the equalizer, denying Forest their first win over the Cherries in nine league encounters.
The match barely got underway when a seemingly harmless clash between Semenyo and Forest midfielder Danilo resulted in Danilo requiring extensive on-field treatment after a serious leg injury. Once play resumed, Forest took control, with Wood continuing his impressive form from last season. After substitute Ryan Yates surged forward and fired a powerful shot that Neto managed to block, Wood was quick to capitalize and score. Although the visitors thought they had equalized with a cleverly executed corner, the goal was ruled offside after review. Forest managed to withstand a late surge from the visitors and held onto their narrow lead going into halftime.

Billing breaks through the defense on the left and delivers a superb low cross into the box aimed at Jebbison. It seems like Jebbison is set to score the winning goal, but a crucial last-ditch intervention from Murillo denies him with a fantastic defensive play. What a pivotal challenge from the defender!
90+3'
Bournemouth maintain possession within their half before Huijsen attempts a pass to Jebbison on the right. However, the pass is overhit and goes out of play, resulting in a throw-in for Forest.

SAVE! Gibbs-White controls the ball on the right and delivers a cross to the left side of the box. Awoniyi rises to meet the ball and heads it towards goal, but the effort is weak and goes straight to Neto. It’s a significant chance missed late in the game.
