UNDERWAY - Bournemouth kick off as Evanilson rolls the ball back to Kerkez, on the left-hand touchline. Kerkez drives forward, past Fernandes, into the attacking half before laying a pass inside to Adams, in the centre circle.

Maguire, inside his own half centrally, awkwardly hooks a pass back to Onana before the pressing Evailson can close in. Onana, on the edge of his own box, finds Ugarte centrally, who rolls the ball over to Mazraoui on the right as United enjoy some sustained defensive possession.

Last season, Bournemouth bullied United en route to a 3-0 win here at Old Trafford in December as Solanke (now at Spurs), Billing and Senesi found the back of the net. Then, at the Vitality Stadum in April, the sides drew 2-2 as Solanke and Kluivert strikes were cancelled out by a brace from Fernandes. 

HUIJSEN HEADS HOME AND BOURNEMOUTH HAVE THE BREAKTHROUGH - Easy as that for the visitors! Whilst there'll be some debate over the free-kick that was awarded, United totally fall asleep at the set-piece and are duly punished! Christie delivers excellently from the right, Huijsen peels off all red shirts around him and flicks a fine header past Onana into the top-left-hand-corner from ten yards out! Old Trafford falls silent. On the replays, we see that Malacia, as he slid in, made very marginal (if any) contact with Smith, so United could feel annoyed to have been penalised.

Zabarnyi picks up possession inside the centre circle but sees his diagonal pass left, intended for Semenyo, intercepted well by Dalot, pushing up on halfway. Dalot pops the ball inside to Ugarte who, in turn, also miscues an intended switch, putting too much on his pass to Malacia. Bournemouth will have the throw-in on the left-side of halfway.

Kepa, gathering the ball before Hojlund inside the penalty box, is booked by the referee for holding onto it for too long as the clock continues to tick away. 

Up Next - Boxing Day games for both sides as United face Wolves at Molineux in the tea-time slot. Bournemouth host Crystal Palace earlier on the same afternoon. 

Captained by Fernandes and Smith, the two sides take to the field! United in their usual red shirts and white shorts, Bournemouth in their away white shirts and navy shorts. The referee for this encounter is Craig Pawson: we’ll be off and running shortly! 

Billing's first act is to nudge the ball off Fernandes, on halfway, punting the ball high towards Semenyo, on the right. Dalot charges across to steal it back for United, ushering it back to Onana, on his six-yard line.

Diallo delivers, from the right. Huijsen climbs highest inside a busy six-yard box to head the ball away for Bournemouth.

Huijsen, on halfway, pulls back Hojlund by the shirt and receives a booking for his troubles.

Fernandes runs into space down the left wing. He then has the intelligence to spot Garnacho's underlapping run into the box, which he finds with a good pass. Adams, though, has also seen it and sprints back to make a superb recovery challenge for The Cherries. Bournemouth clear the resulting corner.

Smith, forced onto the back foot by a sudden burst of speed from Malacia, hacks the United man down on the left wing. Smith's booked for his foul and Fernandes's delivery is bundled behind for a corner by Huijsen's smart defending, six yards out.

Kerkez, on the left side of halfway, passes back to Huijsen. He sidesteps the pressing Hojlund to pick out Billing striding through the centre circle.

A third alteration from Andoni Iraola as Kluivert, excellent in the second half, comes off for Billing. 

SAVE - Fernandes plays a quick, incisive one-two with Diallo down the left. United's captain hares onto the return pass, approaches the penalty box and, from range, sends a shot towards goal that Kepa does well to hold onto. 

Diallo, on the right, rolls the subsequent corner to Fernandes, outside the box. His powerful strike is blocked by the face of Christie, who's winded in making the block. 

BOURNEMOUTH LEAD AT THE BREAK - Half-time at Old Trafford sees Bournemouth one goal to the good thanks to Huijsen's header before the half hour mark. United have more than played their part with Fernandes going close on multiple occasions. But Bournemouth have stood firm, taken their goal well and currently hold a lead over their hosts: Can they hold onto it or will United come back after the break? Stay with us!

Since Ruben Amorim’s arrival as manager, Manchester United have enjoyed some standout results, notably the 4-0 thrashing of Everton here and last weekend’s dramatic comeback win at Manchester City. However, United have also been beaten by Nottingham Forest and Arsenal as well as being dumped out of the Carabao Cup when a loose defensive display saw them ship four at Tottenham. They’ll need to be much tighter than that to keep out a free-scoring Bournemouth side this afternoon. 

The in-form Unal, scorer of Bournemouth's leveller against West Ham last time out, is on up front, replacing Evanilson.

Bournemouth's impressive season goes on as three well-taken goals and a solid defensive display earn them the points today. Huijsen has come in excellently and took his goal well whilst Kluivert made (and finished) the second with a driving run. Semenyo's finish for the third was excellent and Kepa, when called upon, made some super saves. Onwards and upwards for The Cherries!

Manchester United, who won the Manchester derby a week ago, have gone two steps back since with successive defeats. Today, they were good going forwards but lacked a clinical edge, as for all Fernandes and Diallo's efforts, they didn't overly extend Kepa in goal. At the other end, they continue to unconvince with the first two goals both resulting from unnecessary errors whilst for the third, Bournemouth pulled them apart with ease. Lots of work to do if United are to climb the table. 

CHANCE - Manchester United nearly pull one back! Fernandes is involved once more as he strides through the attacking half with purpose. Fernandes lays the ball off to Hojlund, on the left who shoots from the edge of the penalty area. His strike flies just wide of the right-hand-post.

KLUIVERT CONVERTS AND BOURNEMOUTH DOUBLE THEIR LEAD - Cool as you like! The man who was fouled makes Manchester United pay as Kluivert, ice-cool, steps up to the penalty spot. From 12 yards, he makes no mistake sending the ball high down the middle of the goal as Onana forlornly dives to his left. United have it all to do now.

Manchester United Team News - Six changes from the side that went out of the Carabao Cup at Tottenham Hotspur. Onana returns in goal with Maguire reinstated to the back three. Mainoo’s back in midfield, Malacia comes in at left wing-back whilst, in attack, Diallo and Zirkzee are given starts. Mazraoui will slot in as the right-sided centre back with Dalot as the right wing-back, allowing Malacia to take up the other berth. Bayindir, Yoro, Eriksen, Antony and Hojlund go to the bench with Lindelof out altogether. There’s still no place in the squad for Rashford. 

SEMENYO ADDS ANOTHER AS UNITED FALL APART - Bournemouth score three at Old Trafford for the second season running! United are caught on halfway as Mainoo loses out to Adams. He feeds Evanilson, on the edge of the box, who spies the overlapping Ouattara speeding down the left-side of the penalty area. Ouattara skates past Mazraoui, dodges Maguire and cuts the ball back. From six yards out, Semenyo finishes perfectly, slotting into the bottom-left-hand-corner! Surely, no way back for the hosts now?

Mainoo, on the back foot just inside his own half, holds up the run of Christie by rugby-tackling him to the floor. As the referee administers a warning to Mainoo, Bournemouth waste the free kick as Christie overhits it straight out of play for a goal-kick to the hosts.

CHANCE - Diallo, again, is the creative instigator for United, purposefully running down the right-side of the box, getting away from Kerkez. His cutback finds Fernandes, outside the area and he whistles his strike inches wide of the left-hand-upright!

A late, double substitution for Bournemouth: Brooks and Hill are on for Semenyo and Adams.

Mazraoui, fed by Dalot, slings in a hopeful cross from the right. Kerkez manages to clear it before Mainoo, reaching the ball first, regathers possession for United, inside the centre circle.

Bournemouth congest the middle of the field as Hojlund, dribbling on a solo foray, is crowded out by Adams, Cook and Christie all converging. Frustrated, Hojlund kicks out at Adams to give Bournemouth a free-kick, centrally, midway through their own defensive half.

PENALTY TO BOURNEMOUTH - Kluivert does superbly, skipping away down the left wing, unopposed. His balletic dribbling takes sees him evade Mazraoui and then stride past him, into the penalty area. Mazraoui, desperately defending, slides in late and catches Kluivert late. The referee, Craig Pawson, points to the spot without hesitation! Kluivert to take...

OFF THE LINE - Fernandes's corner delivery, from the right, is excellent as it curls into the six-yard area, the curl and whip creating uncertainty. Hojlund flicks it on, it falls to Martinez, six yards out centrally, who tries to slam it home but instead sees Zabarnyi perfectly placed to clear the ball off the line! 

CHANCE - Garnacho, outside the area, curls in a cross. Kepa decisively punches the ball clear. It falls to Fernandes, on the left, who pulls it back to Diallo. He wildly lashes wide of the left-hand-post from range. 

Zirkzee, competing aerially, wins a header against Huijsen, nodding the ball down to Fernandes, on the left. Fernandes tries to drive down the left-hand-flank but with Christie in close proximity, instead passes back to Malacia, just inside United's attacking half.

Martinez, on the left of halfway, picks up the ball and feeds Mazraoui, to his right. With little else on, Mazraoui advances to just inside the penalty area, centrally and lumps an effort over the crossbar. 

SAVE - Better from United! Dalot, of all people, goes on a swashbuckling run down the left-side of the attacking half before having the presence of mind to slip in Hojlund, down the left side of the box. Hojlund peels away from Huijsen and his shot, from an acute angle, is only kept out by Kepa's fingertips as the goalkeeper plunges low to his right!

Christie, moving into the attacking half, slides a pass into the feet of Kluivert, centrally. Kluivert tries to release Semenyo to his left but underhits the pass, allowing Mazraoui to stride up and intercept for United.

Fernandes, just inside his attacking half, finds Diallo to his right wing. Diuallo curls in a dangerous-looking cross. Adams, taking no risks, nods it behind for a corner...

Two attacking changes see Garnacho and Hojlund take the places of Ugarte and Zirkzee.

BACK UNDERWAY - Manchester United get the second half going as Diallo feeds Maguire, back centrally on the edge of the box. He goes right to Dalot as the hosts get on the ball. One change for both teams at the break: Yoro has come on for Malacia for United whilst Cook has replaced the booked Smith for Bournemouth.

Bournemouth Team News - Bournemouth, by contrast, make only one change from their draw with West Ham. That’s in midfield where Adams is preferred to the benched Cook. 

Kluivert drops deep, to the centre circle, to get on the ball as Kerkez feeds a pass inside to him. Maguire clatters into him and Bournemouth play the free-kick quickly as Adams feeds the ball into the run of Kluivert, down the right. However, Kluivert takes a heavy touch which sees the ball run away from him and dribble behind for another goal-kick to United.

Fernandes, after some consultation with Diallo, gets to take the free-kick. He blasts it into the wall of Bournemouth defenders to the groans of the home fans.

Fernandes' corner, from the left, is flicked on by Zirkzee but nobody else in a red shirt can get a touch inside the box. It runs to Dalot, on the right, who clips it back in but overhits his cross to give The Cherries a pressure-relieving goal-kick.

Ugarte cynically ends a Bournemouth counterattack by hacking down Kluivert before the latter can advance into the attacking half, centrally. He becomes United's first player on a booking. 

Hello and welcome to Tribe’s live coverage as Manchester United take on a Bournemouth side that arrive at Old Trafford three points above United in the table. A home win could see The Red Devils overtake Bournemouth but having failed to beat them twice last season, United will face another tough test today. Team news is next. 

Fernandes' delivery, from the left, is poor and comfortably headed away at the front post, six yards out, by Evanilson, back defending.

Now, on the edge of the box centrally, Kluivert clips Fernandes as the latter looked to make room for a shot. He'll have that room now as United are awarded a central free kick, right on the edge of the D...

Huijsen strolls out of central defence, to halfway, before firing an excellent lofted pass down the line to Semenyo. Semenyo's speed sees him surge away from Dalot down the left-side of the box but his chipped ball into the penalty area is too close to Onana, who comes and makes a comfortable catch.

Maguire, inside his own half, finds Garnacho inside the centre circle. He's robbed by Cook, who locates Brooks on the right.

Mazraoui, down the right side of his own half, locates Mainoo ahead of him in the centre circle. Mainoo skips past Christie but not Cook as the substitute slides in to win possession back for the visitors.

Smith sprints away down the right-hand-touchline, straining to keep the ball in play as he chases a pass from Kluivert. Malacia comes across and misjudges his sliding tackle to give Bournemouth a free-kick on the right-hand-touchline, level with their attacking penalty area... 

CHANCE - Fernandes really wants a goal today. His next effort comes as Mainoo makes ground down the left side of the attacking half and spies Fernandes next to him in space. Fernandes instantly unloads a fierce strike from range that flies narrowly over the crossbar!

Kerkez, released on the overlap by a deftly weighted pass from Semenyo, hooks a cross in from the left wing. Martinez does well to clear, with Evanilson lurking near the penalty spot. 

Diallo, on the right side of halfway, shuffles inside and plays an excellent pass, looking for the run of Zirkzee, through the attacking half. Kepa has also read it well, though, as the Spaniard hares off his line to boot the ball away up-field before Zirkzee can scamper onto it.

Martinez, centrally, launches a long pass forwards, looking for the run of Zirkzee. As the ball bounces outside Bournemouth's penalty box, Zirkzee is close to reaching it but instead sees Huijsen calmly come across, control and spray a pass over to Smith on the right-hand-side of Bournemouth's defensive final third.

Diallo sends it in, from the left. It's an awful delivery, though and Zabarnyi stoops to nod the ball away up-field at the near post.

CHANCE - Bournemouth are close to adding a fourth to their tally! Ouattara roams in-field, centrally, feeding Cook. He cleverly releases Kerkez down the left side of the box and he zips a shot into the side-netting from 14 yards out!

Kepa clears long. Semenyo shrugs off Mainoo to gather the ball down the right side, just inside his attacking half. He lays it centrally to Cook, who feeds Adams beside him as Bournemouth slow the game down with a series of central passes.

BOURNEMOUTH WIN AT OLD TRAFFORD AGAIN - A fine performance and all three points for Bournemouth as they dismantle Manchester United at Old Trafford. The hosts, whilst lively in attack, were ponderous at the back and punished, as a result. Huijsen headed in an easy first-half-opener before Kluivert dispatched a penalty in the second half, the win sealed shortly after by Semenyo's third. More evidence of the enormity of the task that faces Ruben Amorim. 

Dalot gets forward down the right and feeds Ugarte to his left. Ugarte finds Martinez rampaging down the left-hand-touchline, who does well to keep the ball in play. Faced by both Ouattara and Smith, though, he goes back to Maguire, stationed on the halfway line.

Malacia, bustling away down the left-hand-side, does well to win a corner as his ball into the box is deflected behind by Smith. Fernandes wanders over to take...

Diallo, skipping past a couple of Bournemouth players on halfway, is eventually halted by a good tackle from Billing, on the edge of his own box. Garnacho gathers the ball and runs down the left before rushing his cross, which is too close to Kepa, who claims comfortably. 

Smith, found by Ouattara, shuffles down the right wing. Smith lays the ball back in-field, to Adams. He attempts an ambitious diagonal, looking for Kerkez flying down the left wing, but gets too much on the pass as the ball sails out of play to give United a defensive throw-in on their right.

Bournemouth are in excellent form, losing only one of their last five league games. They racked up three successive wins against Wolves, Spurs and Ipswich before salvaging a late point in their most recent match, at home to West Ham. Unal, who scored that leveller, has two goals in his last two games and is an option off the bench for The Cherries again today. 

Diallo pins back the ears and hounds after a pass from deep, played by Yoro on the edge of the box. It's a footrace between Diallo and Kerkez down the right-hand-side of United's attacking half and Kerkez just wins it, getting there first to boot the ball behind for a throw-in on that side to the hosts.

SAVE - Kepa denies Fernandes this time! Zirkzee holds off Zabarnyi inside the penalty area, chesting the ball down to his captain, arriving near the penalty spot. Fernandes's shot is shovelled behind brilliantly by Kepa's arms for a corner...

SAVE - Bournemouth, this time, do find Semenyo as Evanilson holds up the ball on the edge of the box before laying it off to Semenyo. His low drive from 20 yards out, centrally, is comfortably held by Onana.

SAVE - Kepa keeps out Garnacho! Sprung down the middle of the attacking half by a fine pass from Fernandes, the substitute outpaces Huijsen to enter the area and bare down on goal. Kepa springs off his line, narrowing the angle and Garnacho can only shoot straight at him from ten yards out, centrally! The three-goal gap remains.

SAVE - Mainoo marauds down the left-hand-side of the penalty area with a driving run. The midfielder lays the ball off to Zirkzee who, under pressure from Zabarnyi, returns the pass to Mainoo. Mainoo cuts it back centrally to Diallo, 12 yards out and he strikes low but straight at Kepa in the Bournemouth goal!
