Thanks for tuning in to Tribe for today’s coverage. Stick around as Wolves take on Aston Villa, kicking off shortly. Until next time, this is Sanil Karan signing off.
Bournemouth will now turn their attention to a tough trip to Goodison Park, where they will face an in-form Everton side next. Meanwhile, Liverpool will shift focus to the upcoming League Cup clash against Tottenham, where they will be aiming to overturn a first-leg deficit. After that, attention will turn to the FA Cup, where they will travel to Plymouth.
It was a perfect day for Liverpool in many ways. Three points secured, extending their lead in the title race, with the only cloud being the injury to Trent Alexander-Arnold, who was forced off in the second half after a knock. However, Slot will be hoping it's nothing too serious. With their determination to find a way to win and Salah continuing to deliver, Liverpool march on, and rivals may have to wait a little longer for that slip-up they so desperately anticipated.
Bournemouth, despite the scoreline, will be left wondering what could have been. They pressed hard throughout the game, especially in the second half, when they pushed Liverpool deeper into their own half. But even with their attacking intent, Liverpool’s defense, led by the ever-impressive Van Dijk, stood firm when it mattered. Bournemouth could have had more, but Alisson was his usual reliable self in goal, while a series of Liverpool defenders made crucial blocks to deny further chances.
It was a game that had rivals licking their lips, hopeful that today could be the day Liverpool stumbled. Bournemouth certainly gave it everything they had, creating some good chances and putting Liverpool under pressure. The Cherries hit the woodwork twice. They also had a goal ruled out for offside, with Brooks’ would-be equalizer being chalked off by VAR. And to make matters worse for the home side, Justin Kluivert missed an open goal, which could have turned the game on its head. But the story of Liverpool’s season continues to be their resilience and ability to find a way to win, even when things aren’t going perfectly. Mohamed Salah was once again at the heart of everything for the Reds, stepping up when his team needed him most. His first-half penalty, awarded after Cook’s foul on Gakpo, gave Liverpool the lead, and despite some late pressure from Bournemouth, it was Salah’s trademark strike in the second half that sealed the points. With the match looking like it could go either way, Salah’s calm finish into the top left corner was a clinical reminder of why he’s one of the best in the business.

OVER! Marcus Tavernier weaves past a couple of challenges and decides to go for goal from distance. However, as he strikes, he loses his balance and slips, sending the ball sailing high over the bar.

SAVE! Semenyo bursts forward down the left once again and whips in a low cross. It takes a deflection and suddenly looks like it might creep into the bottom left corner. But Alisson reacts sharply to get down and push it away.
90+1'
Adams flicks the ball forward, and it sneaks beyond the Liverpool defensive line, sparking a chase from the Bournemouth attackers. But Alisson reads it well, rushing off his line to clear the danger. Sharp goalkeeping to keep Liverpool in control.
