Aston Villa are enjoying life back at the European top table. They are now third in the Champions League, and are odds on to earn a spot in the top eight, particularly with remaining fixtures away in Monaco and at home to Celtic. They showed their frailities tonight, but equally showed why they are going to be a problematic side, well set up for knockout football. They have a keeper in Emi Martinez who can make big saves, but going forward, they have individuals capable of creating something from nothing. Though not the winner, John Dhuran's long-range effort was key to the win, and there are few players who could have pulled that off. He continues to push for more regular football. Youri Tielemans was too superb, controlling things well in the middle of the park.
