That is all we have time for on Tribe as Crystal Palace advance to the next round. I have been Elliot Thompson and thank you for joining me. Stay with us on Tribe as Tottenham and Manchester City are in action right now. That has around 15 minutes left.
Next up for Aston Villa is three away games with the first being a trip to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday. Crystal Palace will be waiting to find out who they have in the next round later on today. Whilst on the weekend they play Wolverhampton away from home in a vital game at the bottom of the table.
Unai Emery thought that Aston Villa had bigger things to worry about after he made 10 changes for this game. Even though they fired themselves back into this one it did look like they weren't too concerned about the game. Jhon Duran scored the equaliser in the first half thanks to some poor goalkeeping from Matt Turner. He allowed the ball to squirm through his body and into the bottom right corner. Duran had another shot in the first half which was spilt by Turner but Buendia fired the rebound over. In the second half, Villa's attacking threat was non-existent. They had one big opening which was wasted as Philogene played the wrong pass. He found Bailey on the right instead of playing Buendia in through the middle. Philogene, Buendia and Bailey had poor evenings as they didn't create enough for Duran. He had a couple of half chances in the second half as he had shots from impossible angles. Duran was just hoping Turner would make another mistake but he was much more confident after the break.
CRYSTAL PALACE ARE THROUGH TO THE QUARTER-FINALS! Oliver Glasner has guided his side to back-to-back wins for the first time this season. They stormed into an early lead thanks to a header from Eze. He escaped his marker and nodded home from a Munoz cross on the right flank. Unfortunately for them though Eze had to off with an injury. As well as him Wharton also had to leave the action due to an issue. That seemed to kill their momentum in the first half with Palace equalising after Eze left the field. However, they stayed in the game remaining hard to beat at the back throughout the second half. A high press from a goal-kick is what put them back ahead. Carlos plays a poor pass out from the back which Kamada read. He took one touch away from Kamara before firing into the bottom left corner. After that goal, Palace never looked like they'd concede again. They held on with relative ease to keep their cup dream alive!

Jimoh-Aloba turns Guehi on the halfway line. Guehi takes no risks and just brings him down. So he is shown a yellow card but he will take that to waste some valuable seconds.

Bogarde plays a hopeful pass forward to get Villa on the front foot. His pass is right at Mitchell who heads it out. Carlos works it over to Mings who plays it to Maatsen but he has no options ahead of him. He goes backwards to Mings who opts to find Bogarde. Mateta presses and gets a foot in.

Munoz runs the ball out of play on the right wing. He then kicks the ball away so he is shown a yellow card for delaying the restart for Aston Villa.
