Thanks for joining me here on Tribe as Arsenal took a big step nearer automatic qualification for the last 16 of the Champions League as they beat Dinamo Zagreb 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium this evening: I hope you’ve enjoyed our coverage: I’ve been Rory Morrow, and I look forward to seeing you again soon for another live text commentary!
Up Next - Arsenal are away at Wolves on Saturday afternoon as they and close the gap on leaders, Liverpool in the Premier League. Their final Champions League group games comes away at Girona next Wednesday night whilst Dinamo Zagreb host AC Milan on the same evening. Zagreb have to win that and hope other results go their way if they’re to qualify for a playoff.
Dinamo Zagreb deserve credit for sticking in there, after the worst possible start was made with the early concession of a goal, just two minutes in. At 1-0, they made life awkward for Arsenal and the game was in the balance. But, despite some great defending, their failure to extend Raya at the other end meant that they were always going to need something special to win here tonight. Whilst a playoff position isn't impossible, tonight's loss has now made their last match against AC Milan next week a must-win, for them to have any hope of sneaking into the top 24.
A very good night's work that, for Arsenal. They were clinical when it mattered and never really gave Dinamo Zagreb too much of a sniff. All three goals came from open play, too which will please Mikel Arteta as his team showcased some attacking creativity to carve open a deep-lying defence. Havertz, with an assist and a goal, was excellent whilst Martinelli impressed on the left all evening with a tenacious work ethic and fantastic cross for the second goal: Arsenal's job now is to transfer this excellent form in Europe over to their Premier League campaign.
ARSENAL VICTORY PUTS THE LAST 16 IN SIGHT - A professional display from The Gunners which puts them in a very strong position of automatically qualifying for the Champions League's last 16, with one round of games still to be played. Rice's early goal was the difference for so long but Havertz getting the second midway through the second half eased any Arsenal nerves. Dinamo Zagreb couldn't find a way through and instead, Arsenal glossed the scoreline when Odegaard grabbed a late third: Job done for Mikel Arteta's men whilst Zagreb's hopes of sneaking into the playoffs take a dent with this defeat.

A nice moment for Butler-Oyedeji, who comes on late on to make his Arsenal debut. Martinelli departs.

ODEGAARD ICES THE CAKE FOR ARSENAL - A late third to cap a fine performance for Arsenal! Gabriel, from halfway, floats a fine pass over the top to Trossard, down the left side of the box. Trossard produces a teasing cross, the ball deflects cruelly off Ristovski, trying to clear it, on it's way through and Odegaard, steaming onto it six yards out centrally, makes no mistake, rifling home an emphatic finish into the middle of the net: Arsenal have their win!
