The delivery from the left corner is headed away at the back post! Into the path of Watson lurking outside the area who puts the right boot through it but it sails a mile over the bar! City keep it short and come forward back up near halfway with Den Heijer. 

Auckland move it across to the right flank on halfway as they rake it out. Switch play looking up the left for Ukich but the defence is there to clear again for Wellington! They look to counter up the left but the pass is too deep for Sinclair as Tracey has it sorted at the top of the area. 

Swung in from the free kick on goal and parried away by Tracey! The rebound falls back into the middle for Wellington who have a loose shot but it is deflected away for a corner on the right for Wellington. 

Basalaj takes his time on a goal kick as Wellington keep it short coming up the right! de Vries initially does well but Wilkinson looks lively coming away with it! He drags it through the middle as Wellington look for a ball over the top near the box! Headed away by Lobo as Wellington reset near halfway. 

Time for the shoot out! Extra time was certainly slower than the second half of regulation and for the second year in a row we will decide the Chatham Cup on penalties! 

Ciy keep it short through the middle. Ukich runs down the left edge looking to cross a ball into the middle! Gulley is there at the near post to slide it clear. Wellington try to come back up the left with Nguyen but he has a heavy touch in the middle as Mitchell comes away with it for City. 

Ilich has to be alert at the back post as the cross comes in from the left for Wellington and it is turned over the byline for the corner. Wellington swing it in from the right. Towards the back post and it bobbles around but is eventually cleared by City. 

City look to go into the attacking third as Lobo finds Garriga back in the middle! Raked out as Sinclair looks to put pressure on Tracey at the top of his area. City are back down the right edge looking for space and win a throw in. 

SO WE GO TO EXTRA TIME! A scrambling end to the last 20 minutes of regulation time with an own goal giving Wellington the lead! They weren't able to hang onto it as Ukich rode high to level things late in added time! 

Kilkolly finds Ukich out on the left as City look to launch another counter attack. He can't keep it in play though in the corner and it will be a throw in. Auckland look to disrupt but play it over the byline for a goal kick. 

Just the one minute of added time in this second half. Play has slowed through the middle as Prins goes down in the middle, drawing the free kick. Sent up the left from halfway but headed into touch by City! Wellington win a corner as City head a ball over the byline. Just time to take it! Swung in at the near post! Headed over the bar! TIME FOR PENALTIES! 

UKICH FINDS IT! Lovely work down the left from Auckland this time! The ball is perfect on the cross back into the middle and Ukich rises home, heading it past Basalaj to find the leveller! 

City work it across to the right as Wellington sit very deep inside their half. Gray comes forward with Den Heijer who floats a ball towards the back post! Lovely run from de Vries but his header is wide of the target. 

Another change for Wellington as Wilkinson comes to the side with Nguyen gets the boarding pass. 

Dimairo looks to come up the right but Lobo has him covered working him over the sideline! Wellington win it back and look down the right again! Wilkinson does well to get around the byline this time and win his side another corner. 

Another longer ball through the middle for Wellington as they don't have any runners near it as Tracey mops up. City come up the left with Lobo looking to put Ukich into some space! Hacked away by Wellington into touch. Olympic win the ball back through the middle and rake it out with Supyk looking to reset things. 

Class from Ilich as he finds the right corner with the keeper going the opposite side again. 

City try for the longer ball near the edge of the box but it is headed away by Wellington! Back with Basalaj who sends a longer ball up the right and they win the throw in near halfway. Roubos does well in the short spaces to win another throw in. 

Wellington look up the left again with Sinclair on the run. City come away with it as Tieku is clipped late and wins the free kick in the middle of his half. Den Heijer keeps it short as City look up the right. Lovely ball from Tieku but not into the path of the right player as it rolls over the sideline in front of Wellington. 

The goal kick is sent up the middle by Basalaj. City run Wellington off the ball in the middle as Den Heijer steps through. City work the right edge looking for space with Mitchell. Wellington sit behind the ball with Watson at the sharp end of the point. 

Corner delivery from City is weakly headed on target and Basalaj has it! Releases Prins up the left edge who takes off in space! Puts a beauty of a pass across the top of the area for Sinclair! The one touch shot is good but away from the back post! A massive chance there for Wellington to go up two to the good! 

Basalaj takes his time on the goal kick once again as Wellington look to try to work down the clock. City are back pressing on the left edge. Lobo looks to get to the outside but Gulley is there and slides it clear once again in defence. City keep it short in the corner but the ball rolls over the byline off the boot of Ukich. 

City win a throw in up the left near halfway as Kilkolly tosses it deep. Lovely work from de Vries in the middle but Dimairo comes away with it. Wellington look forward in the middle but it is dropped back for Basalaj at the top of the area who puts his right foot through it. 

City push forward on halfway. Down the right with Murati. He cuts inside and is collected a little late by Prins going down in the tackle and wnning the free kick. Good positon here for City, 15 outside the box near the right edge. 

Den Heijer has to come across to the left on halfway to help out Lobo who turns a ball backwards. Auckland win a throw in up the left but the play drifts back into the midfield as halftime is called! 

SHOT! Lee with the corner from the right. Delivers near the front post by Gould has it headed away in front! Back come Auckland down the right edge! Into the box a volley pass for Den Heijer! Slashes it over the bar!

Wellington with Watson look up the right near halfway as he looks to link with Hoy. Breaks down over the sideline and City bring it away with Mitchell in space looking to push forward. Tieku battles away outside the box but Wellington come away with it. 

City are back with the ball on halfway! Lobo looks for the run on Ukich again up the left. Roubos is there to track across and snuff out the danger. City come back from halfway again as Wellington sit deeper inside their half again. There are a few slips out there at the moment as the dew settles on the pitch. 

Halftime at North Harbour Stadium and we are all locked up at the break in the Chatham Cup Final for 2024. A somewhat frustrating half for Auckland. City have had the majority of possession and territory but have been unable to find the back of the net so far. de Vries has been their standout looking to create plenty of chances in midfield but the front line as failed to finish. They will be looking to play at pace in the second half, tiring out the Wellington line. 

Watson looks to get onto a longer ball from the free kick! City bring it away from outside their area and win a free kick up the right with Lee going down in the contact with Watson tracking back. City work it forward once again near halfway. 

SAVE! Tracey has to go full stretch diving to his left! Lovely ball from Sinclair as he finds Bouzoukis on the left edge of the box! Looks to put a pass into the area and Tracey dives out to grab it! Almost parries it back into on coming traffic! 

CARNAGE OUT THERE! OFFSIDES AT BOTH ENDS! Another delivery from the corner on the left and it rebounds around at close range! The save from Basalaj is parried back into the path of Tieku who turns it home, only to see the flag go up! Quickly down the other end as go Wellington and they find the back of the net as Tracey is out of position but the through ball sees them offside as well! 

CHANCE! Lobo on a commanding run through the middle for City! Touched back to the left edge of the box for Gould! He looks to get the shot away on goal but it is well wide of the back post where no one is coming through for City! 

The weather has really turned to rubbish out there during the break! The rain is driving down as the crowd has all looked for shelter higher into the stands. 

City again look to come up the right on the overlap. Raked back into the middle with Lobo. He switches play back to the right. Cutting inside is Garriga but the pass forward up the left edge is toed away by Wellington for an attacking throw in. 

Down the middle goes Den Heijer as Basalaj goes left. 

Chance down the right with Lee for City! Gets to the outside of the area on the edge and looks to feed a pass back infield for Kilkolly but the pass is wide of him at the top! Just a touch of confusion there from the City forwards and they look to be frustrated. 

Smashed into the right side as Tracey dives the wrong way. 

City walk it up on the left edge near halfway with Lobo. Looks to link with de Vries on a run but then the ball is switched over to the right with Mitchell. Back to the left with Lobo pushing forward. Raked out once more. 

Sinclair with good work down the left edge, turning it back into the middle for Wellington. They drop it back for Supyk who goes back for Basalaj. He puts the boot into it and it sails into touch up the left near halfway. 

Basalaj drives a ball up the middle as City are back down the right with Lee. He looks to push forward but drags it out once more. Switch play to the left as City look to link near the byline but the play breaks down over the byline for a goal kick. 

Wellington chip a ball up the left looking for a runner! Tracey gets across to cover as Den Heijer brings it forward. City play around the back looking for space with Wellington sitting deeper near halfway. Lobo switches play to the right with de Vries. Raked back out into the middle for the  reset. 

Gould up the left with Ukich! Gets into the area around the byline! Looks to spin and create the avenue for the cross but Wellingto do well to shut that down! Olympic move another ball up the left! Ball in from the left from Wilkinson has Watson looking to run onto it but Tracey has it covered. 

Dimairo with space coming up the left for Wellington this time! Just over plays the pass in front of Wilkinson as it goes over the byline in front of his chance. Tracey sends a ball up the middle and it is raked back out for City near halfway. 

SHOT! City look up the right on the over lap. Into the middle with Garriga! Short pass into the right edge of the box with de Vries! Looks to turn and snap off the left foot back towards the back post! Just over the corner! Basalaj didn't look like he had that one covered! 

CHANCE! Good delivery on the corner from the right edge by Wellington near the six yard box! Mitchell is there to head it away. Wellington are back with it! Lovely work from Wilkinson as he tracks back from the left at the top of the box! All the way to the right side of the box and drives a beauty of a shot over the bar at the back post! Nearly a screamer! 

JUST UNDER TRACEY! Not a great strike as Hoy goes left! Tracey dives but ends up over the top of it! 

Watson tries to thread the needle at the edge of the box! Dimairo goes out  to the left with Sinclair pressing down the byline. The cross in towards the middle is poor and knocked away by City once again. 

Again City are slow to bring it forward on halfway with de Vries. Longer ball over the top but looks to be handled by the Wellington defence but the hard first touch is into the feet of Gould! Little unlucky there as the deflection is off him back into the path of Basalaj to mop up. 

Wellington are back with solid possession at the back. They look up the right before switching over to the left again! Lovely turn by de Vries as he brings it away looking to set Gould away over halfway. Dragged out once again as City control it near halfway. 

Wellington come downfield in the middle! Mitchell is down all ends up as Watson looks to get to the outside of him before his is cut down! Free kick just over halfway Wellington! They keep it short but it is quickly turned over! City go on the break with Gould showing good pace in the middle! 

Dimairo hacks down the man on halfway and the free kick goes the way of City. They keep it short through the back before looking long up the right! Too far in front as it rolls over the byline. Basalaj sends the ball back up the middle. 

de Vries lunges forward from the midfield! Has a shot from well outside the area and it is blown over the bar. Basalaj sends the ball back up the middle. City control it and look for their own ball back over the top but too far in front of the striker as Basalaj controls it. 

Both of these sides are coming off impressive semi final wins a few weeks ago with Wellington smashing Coastal Spirit 5-1. They are looking to build on their successful Central League campaign where they walked away with the title. Auckland put Birkenhead United away 4-2 to book their place in the big dance. City are looking to claim their third trophy of the season after already winning the OFC Champions League in Tahiti and the Northern League.

City work the left edge with Lobo on the overlap. Finds Ukich near the byline. Cuts back infield as City look to continue with it. Back out for Ukich near the flank again as he rakes it back out into the middle for Den Heijer just over halfway. 

Back underway as Wellington send an early back pass through Mata to Basalaj who puts the boot through it. City come back through the middle but Wellington win a turnover as Mata again drops it deep for Basalaj. Driven up the left and into touch for a City throw in. 

Hoy drives up the left for Wellington! Lovely ball along the turf but turned away near the front post by Tracey! The ball is back into the path of Wellington at the top of the box but the shot is blocked away by City. 

Mata stays down in the box after the contact in the aerial contest and gets some attention. 

WE HAVE A RETAKE! Basalaj is off his line as he makes the save going to his right! 

Mitchell up the right looks to advance. Pushed forward and then crossed into the box! Takes a deflection and balloons up near the six yard box! Kilkolly tries to break the defender and get there but it bounces across the face of Basalaj and away from trouble! 

CHANCE! Supyk delivers a beauty towards the back post! Mata gets up on the header but delivers wide of the back post! Danger signs early in the air there for Auckland City. Tracey keeps it short on the restart from the goal kick. 

A real tangle in midfield as there are players down. Bouzoukis is the man called for the foul, flipping Garriga as they both went to ground. City go longer up the left but the ball is in touch in front of chasing Ukich. 

Supyk with a quality challenge tracking back on halfway to dispossess City. City are back with however with Lee! He cuts back to the right edge and crosses near the byline! Headed away by Prins for a corner!

Previous battles between these two have been fiery affairs with two clashes over the past year netting opposite results. Olympic won the National League grand final while City emerged victorious in the OFC Champions League playoff tie. Tonight will be the 10th meeting between the two sides with City holding the edge with 5 wins to 2, with 2 draws. The only previous encounter between these two sides in the Chatham Cup was back in the 2022 semi final where City prevailed on their way to securing their first ever Cup title.

Eight minutes of added time! Wellington send a ball up the right looking for Watson to get onto it and he does well winning the throw in near the line of the area. Wellington keep it short with Roubos looking to get towards the box! 

SHOT! Hoy is the first new man onto the field, replacing Tongue for Wellington. His first touch is a defensive one as City look to come back through the middle! KILKOLLY! He gets onto a ball outside the box and has plenty of space! Lines it up and strikes it off the left! Just goes over the bar! 

It's a gloomy evening in Auckland with there plenty of cloud are some showers hanging around. The temperature is hovering in the mid teens as we get close to kick off. The weather has deterred the crowd and there is a good sprinkling throughout the main stand. 

Into the final sixty seconds of regular time. City win a throw in down the right and toss it into the box. Tieku tries to get clear but it is hacked clear by Wellington into the stands. Nguyen takes his time on the throw in and it is headed over the top by Wellington. 

OFF THE POST! City go short on the right corner! The ball is floated back towards the far post! Ukich is there and heads it on goal on the bounce! Off the woodwork again as Wellington scramble it clear again! 

Short play down the right from City as they look to keep it tight. Eventually dragged out for Mitchell and Den Heijer. Wellington push higher looking to win the turn over but that creates space in the midfield as City look to push forward up the right. Switch play again for Lobo pushing up the left but he turns it back for Den Heijer near halfway. 

Wellington look to go up the left! Longer ball looking to find Wilkinson on the run near the top of the box! Tracey is out of his six yard box and gets the hands on it. He keeps it short as City try to come up the left with Lobo. 

Matanyayire is out there replacing Lobo! Den Heijer gets into a tangle just outside his box and is shown the yellow card. Wellington go quickly. 

SAVE! WATSON WITH THE SHOT AT CLOSE RANGE! Wellington go down the left edge at pace! The delivery is a beauty near the six yard box! Falls for Watson and he gets the left boot on it! Down goes Tracey to his right and makes the save! 

Great from Tieku, going to his right, sending Basalaj to his right!

Changes for City as Ilich and Zhou are out there, replacing Murati and Gould. The free kick delivery is towards the back post and headed away for a corner. The corner from the left is dangerous and headed wide at the back post by Ukich! 

City push through the middle with Garriga! Chips it back towards the right side of the box but is is handled with ease by Wellington. They work it back up the right with lovely short passing but it is turned over outside the City area. Lee comes forward but drops it back inside his half for Den Heijer. 

Garriga looks to be struggling with cramp as he heads to the sideline for some attention. Wellington go for a long ranger with Wilkinson from miles out looking to lob over the top of Tracey. He is well positioned at the cage and grabs it with ease. 

WOODWORK! City look up the right with Mitchell. Back with Den Heijer in the middle on halfway as Murati drops another back out. OUT OF NOTHING! Lee turns in from down the right! Off the leg peg and it rams off the cross bar! Basalaj had no chance and is saved by the woodwork!
