In the final moments, Wrexham managed a consolation goal when Lee's run and pass found Revan inside the box, who neatly finished inside the left post. Despite this late goal, it was Sheffield United’s day, and they secured their place in the next round of the Carabao Cup with a well-earned victory.

Wrexham's Barnett and Revan had chances to score, but their efforts were thwarted by solid defensive plays and key saves from Grbic.
In the second half, Sheffield United turned the game around with Brewster's powerful run down the right, which resulted in an own goal by Brunt as he attempted to intercept. The Blades extended their lead with Marsh converting a rebound from Brewster's saved penalty, giving Sheffield United a comfortable advantage. Despite Wrexham's attempts to respond, including a notable effort by Revan, the visitors struggled to break through Sheffield's defense.
