That is all we have time for on Tribe as Southampton book their place in round three after a fantastic goal fest. I have been Elliot Thompson and thank you for joining me. Make sure you stay with us on Tribe as Nottingham Forest and Newcastle looks like it is going to be spot-kicks!
Cardiff City, like Southampton, fielded a much-changed side but they gave it a right good go. Colwill scored a magical goal on his right foot from far out which was not the last fantastic strike of the night. At half-time, they were behind but just three minutes later Conte forced an own goal with a dangerous cross which Lumley flapped at. They went behind quickly after that though however their heads did not drop. Conte was involved again as he headed back Colwill's cross finding Robertson. His strike was so vicious that Lumley didn't even move as the ball flew past him at the near post. Unfortunately for this young squad, they couldn't hold on for penalties but they can certainly be proud of their efforts. Erol Bulut may have some decisions to make moving forward as the likes of Conte, Colwill and Reindorf impressed in attack.
SOUTHAMPTON ARE THROUGH AFTER SOME INJURY-TIME DRAMA! Considering these two sides have been struggling for form and goals that was one hell of a spectacle. Southampton went ahead early on thanks to Fernandes with a smart strike. They were brought level not long after but Amo-Ameyaw finished off a lovely team move on the edge of the area. In the second half, they seemed to switch off as they conceded early thanks to an Edwards own goal. Archer on his full debut though responded shortly after with an emphatic strike on the left side of the box. Again Russell Martin's men were quickly pegged back. The game seemed to be fading away from both sets of players but Bree popped up with the goal of the match in injury time. On the edge of the box, he volleyed a shot on his right foot over Alnwick and in. Then in case there was any doubt with a minute left Archer got on the end of a pass from Dibling. On the right side of the area, he again showed how prolific he can be with a tidy finish.

Russell Martin had made a double change for the last few seconds. Amo-Ameyaw and Dibling come off. O'Brien-Whitmarsh and Larios come on but probably won't get a touch.

THAT WILL DO IT FOR SOUTHAMPTON! Dibling on the left drives with the ball from deep. He moves towards the area before slipping in a lovely through pass towards Archer. On the right of the box, he gets onto the ball. He shoots low into the left corner on his right foot. That was a rather basic goal compared to the others tonight!

AN IMMACULATE VOLLEY SURELY MEANS SOUTHAMPTON ARE THROUGH! A corner for Southampton from the right is headed away to Bree. Deep on the right side, he sends another cross into the box. That is headed back out to Bree on the edge of the area. He gets his head over the ball to volley on his right foot. The shot floats over Alnwick before going into the back of the net.
