That's all we've got time for on Tribe, I'm afraid. Until next time, this is James Messenger saying goodbye!
What. A. Game! It ends level at AAMI Park, after a topsy-turvy encounter which saw both teams hit the front at different points. Trailing midway through the first half, Western Sydney Wanderers fought back well and turned the game on its head, thanks to goals from Aydan Hammond and Nicolas Milanovic. They sensed all three points could be returning back north, but in the final minutes, VAR intervened and handball was given against Jack Clisby, Ryan Teague converting from the penalty spot to make it 2-2. Had it finished 4-4 or 5-5, few could've argued! A superb advert for A-League football, but at the end, it's honours even in Melbourne. That points sees Victory climb to second, despite their wait for a first win under interim head coach Arthur Diles continuing. Western Sydney, meanwhile, stay four points behind them in seventh.
Full-time, and a point apiece!

Is that the final chance of the night? A cross is swung in from the Victory left and Geria goes to ground near the penalty spot, but contact was minimal and there were very few penalty appeals, in truth. Instead, the ball bounces out of play for a goal-kick.
90+4'
So frantic, with Victory pushing for a late winner. Can they find it? Backs-to-the-wall for Western Sydney at the moment as they look to hang onto their point.
90+2'
Up there with one of the quickest yellow cards I've ever seen? I'd say so! Moments after coming on, Cameron is forced to pull livewire Santos to ground near the touchline and takes a yellow card.

Jack Clisby drops to his haunches, and his race is run. The visitors are forced into the change, with Jesse Cameron on to replace him.

Booking for Milanovic, who wipes out Santos down the Melbourne Victory right. There's a slight kick out after the free-kick was given, and tempers fray momentarily before the referee comes across to calm things down.

OFF THE BAR! Breathless stuff! Immediately down the other end, a deep cross from the right finds the head of Velupillay, who steers the ball goalwards and hits the woodwork. Had that effort dropped any lower, it looked like Thomas would've had his angles covered.
89'
GREAT SAVE! A good response to that setback from the visitors, who forge a good attacking opportunity of their own. It's Borrello who works space to shoot left-footed inside the box, his low drive across goal smartly saved by Duncan.
87'
EMPHATIC PENALTY! Such confidence from Ryan Teague! He steps up to the spot with aplomb, steering his penalty into the top right corner with Thomas diving the other way. It's all square again at AAMI Park as we enter the final minutes! Time for a late winner, perhaps?

PENALTY GIVEN! Clisby did, indeed, leave a left arm outstretched as he looked to close down Velupillay's shot, so after a quick VAR consultation, the referee points to the spot! What an opportunity for the hosts to draw level...

Hang on... the referee has stopped play here, walking over to his VAR monitor after a frantic passage of play inside the Western Sydney penalty area a few moments ago. It looks like there may have been a handball from Clisby as he threw himself in the way of a goal-bound shot. What will the decision be?
83'
CLOSE! From a promising free-kick position down the left touchline, Piscopo takes the selfish option and tries to work Thomas himself, rather than delivering for a team-mate. His effort whistles narrowly over the bar, drawing a few murmurs from the home supporters.

The hosts waste little time in turning to their bench. On come Clarismario Santos and Fabian Monge, in place of Bruno Fornaroli and Jordi Valadon.

WESTERN SYDNEY HIT THE FRONT! The visitors lead at AAMI Park! Borrello lays the ball round the corner for Nicolas Milanovic, who drives with intent towards the Melbourne Victory penalty area. With few clear options on the inside, he goes for goal and drills a left-footed shot into the far right corner from the edge of the box, leaving Duncan with no chance whatsoever.

Borrello tries to wriggle away from Valadon, who doesn't give him an inch near halfway and tugs at his shirt to stop the attack. He sees yellow, as does Wanderers substitute Badolato for a robust foul earlier in the passage of play.

Bonetig sends in a decent cross from the left and it sails over a Victory defender to find Borrello. Caught a little on his heels, the ball bounces off the Western Sydney forward and Duncan is able to pounce on it to clear the danger.

Velupillay's first contribution is to find himself upended down the Melbourne Victory right by fellow substitute Kraev, who concedes the foul but avoids a yellow card.

No birthday goal for Daniel Arzani, but an excellent performance nonetheless. He's replaced by Nishan Velupillay for the final 20 minutes plus stoppage time.

Off we go again!
Time for the second of our scheduled drinks break, with temperatures still around 30 degrees celsius on this warm summer night in Melbourne.

A chance for Western Sydney to threaten with a free-kick from the right. Good shape on the cross, but it gravitates towards the head of Fornaroli who clears.

GOOD SAVE! What an introduction that would've been! Direct football at its finest as a long ball forward finds Antonsson in-behind. The Wanderers forward tries to lob the onrushing Duncan, who makes himself big and gets a crucial hand to the ball to stop it from bypassing him.
