The Wanderers have handed Brisbane their ninth consecutive home defeat, courtesy of an early header from Bozhidar Kraev. Make sure you join us again on Tribe tomorrow for four huge games of A-League football. It's been a pleasure bringing you all the action from this one at Suncorp Stadium. For now, Harrison Ryburn signing out.
It only gets tougher for the Brisbane Roar, with the long trip over the ditch to Wellington next up for them in six days time. Meanwhile, the Wanderers travel back home for a Sydney Derby clash next Saturday night.
A bang average performance from Brisbane, and the two-week break showed, failing to capitalise on their victory over Sydney FC. They were slow and error-strewn throughout, oozing mistakes in every area of the pitch. The Wanderers slowed down and encouraged them to take the game by the scruff of the neck, but Ruben Zadkovich's men just couldn't do it, struggling to create chances in attack, and hardly testing Lawrence Thomas in goal. It's a good three points for the visitors, ending their three-year winless streak against the Roar, and a two-game losing run in this season's competition. They didn't have to work very hard for it in the end, but were disciplined enough to manage the game and suffocate their opponents defensively, recording their first clean sheet of the year, and just their second of the season.
Full-time at Suncorp and the Western Sydney Wanderers have returned to the winner's circle with a one-goal victory over the Brisbane Roar. It's Bozhidar Kraev's early goal that seperates the two sides in the end, and the Wanderers didn't have to work very hard to sit on it and close out the three points. On the other hand Brisbane fall to a new low, sinking to a ninth consecutive home defeat, just two weeks after picking up their first win of the season.
90+4'
Brisbane advance out of their own half, and it falls for Brown on the left wing. He drives a low delivery into the middle, where Halloran sees a shot blocked. The Wanderers manage to scramble away.
90+3'
Kraev pushes forward down the left flank, and holds the ball near the corner flag. The Wanderers have conceded in injury-time in both of their two most recent fixtures. They don't want to make the same mistake here, and just try to wind the clock down with possession.
90+2'
SHOT! Burke-Gilory picks up possession in the middle of the attacking half, and decides to have a go from a long way out. He strikes it sweetly on his right foot, but the ball doesn't stay down, and skims the crossbar on it's way over the top. That could be that for Brisbane.
90+1'
Into four minutes of injury-time, at the end of what has been a dreary half of football. Brown advances down the left wing, and hangs a delivery into the middle. Again Thomas takes charge though, and collects.
