Wellington head home looking to rest some tired legs after this double away week. They were in the match for large portions of the second half but just couldn't find a way into the net for a second time after the own goal. Jale was outstanding once more along with Longo in the midfield. The introduction of Whinham added much needed pace to the attack but the finishung was lacking. They will shift down to 5th on the ladder with Adelaide leap frogging them into 4th.

Adelaide will be elated with that performance. They toughed it out early and took advantage of their chances along with hanging on late to come away with the win. The likes of Dewey and Condon were superb through the middle while Dawber tried to get involved in everything up front coming up with a ripper of a strike. They head to Brisbane next weekend for a clash with the Roar.

Adelaide hang on and get the full points this evening at home! After being up two at the break, the Phoenix came out swinging in the second half and dominated large portions of that half. The own goal from Leon got the Wellington side right back into things but they were unable to find a leveller late in the match.

Dawber goes down as she is struck in the back by Kelly rising up for a header on halfway. She is slowly back to her feet as Adelaide send the free kick down the middle towards the Wellington box. The Phoenix hack it clear but that is the end of the match!

Jale flicks a ball over the top in midfield but it is too far in front of her forward line and Jenkins grabs another one on the edge of the penalty area. Wellington have to come from deep with Barry and Tanaka linking on the left edge of halfway. It is turned over as United work it forward at pace! The ball bounces for Panagaris at the top of the box! Her volley is blocked! Wellington hack it clear.

Longo tracks down a longer ball up the right flank. She pulls back and puts a ball forward for McMeeken but the flag is up in the corner as she is offside! Jenkins tracks over to the left edge of her box to take the free kick once more.

Down the right side for Wellington now goes Jaber! She gets all the way to the byline and looks to put a ball across the face but it slices away for a goal kick. No rush from Jenkins to send it deep as Wellington are back on the attack. Main outside the area tries a shot from deep but it is blocked and turned away by United.
